**Located in central Nepal, Manaslu** **is the eighth highest** mountain in the world. **The Manaslu Circuit trek** **is a unique blend of cultural richness and scenic beauty.**

For 18-days, we’ll **discover the lifestyle** **of native people, explore the rich ecosystem of the region and witness outstanding mountain landscapes**. It takes **15 days to complete the circuit** and **requires us to cross the great Larkya La pass.** We’ll stride through **lesser-explored regions of the Himalayas, and witness varied climatic conditions.**

We’ll start our journey from the capital city of Kathmandu. After a relaxed day sightseeing in the city, we’ll proceed towards **Sotikhola. We’ll come across beautiful suspension bridges and several mountain villages on this circuit including** **Maccha Khola, Jagat, Deng, Namrung and Samagaon.**

Our rest day at **Samdo will provide us with ample time to get acclimatized.** We’ll witness **breathtaking views of the peaks of Manaslu, Samdo, Nagdichuli and the Manaslu glacier** from here. The **magnificent Budi Gandaki River will accompany us throughout the trip.**

**The highlight of the circuit is the Larkya La pass. Crossing this pass takes one day, involves a strenuous climb and demands a certain level of fitness.** However, once we reach the top, we’re rewarded by **extraordinary views of Himlung, Annapurna II and Cheo Mountains.**

The sustained trip further takes us through the beautiful villages of Bimthang, Tilije and, Tal until we reach Syange, our last stop of the trek. We’ll drive back to **Kathmandu from here, and enjoy a farewell dinner to celebrate the completion of an incredible journey.**

Transfer from Tribhuvan International Airport to your hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m/4,428ft)

Guided tour to spiritual and popular attractions in Kathmandu, including some World Heritage Sites. Witness the brilliant Kathmandu Durbar Square, the holy Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, ‘Monkey Temple’ (Swayambhunath), and the popular Bouddhanath stupa. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Kathmandu: Sightseeing and Trek preparation

We’ll leave for Sotikhola, and enjoy beautiful views of the countryside and the mountain sceneries on the way. Overnight in SotiKhola.

Drive from Kathmandu to Sotikhola (710m/2328 ft) 8 – 9 hours

Our trek begins. After crossing a suspension bridge, we’ll set off towards the beautiful Sal forests, then ascend a ridge above the mighty Budi Gandaki River. We’ll head towards Khursane and walk past two tropical waterfalls on a steep, rocky trail. Descend to Labubesi, a Gurung village. Continue towards the riverbed of Budhi Gandaki, cross another suspension bridge and make our way towards MachhaKhola village. Overnight in MachhaKhola.

Soti Khola – MacchaKhola (900m/2952 ft) 6 – 7 hours

Leave MacchaKhola and walk along a narrow trail to reach a small hot spring in Tatopani. From here, we’ll ascend a ridge, cross the Budhi Gandaki and make our way up to Dobhan. Cross a bridge over the YaruKhola, and walk on the trail to reach Tharo Bharyang. Finally, we’ll head towards Jagat. Overnight in Jagat.

MacchaKhola -Jagat (1410m/ 4625 ft) 6 – 7 hrs

Climb over a ridge to Salleri. Here, we’ll witness awe-inspiring views of the Manaslu Mountain. Next, we’ll head towards Sirdibas. Head towards GhattaKhola and walk upstream to reach a suspension bridge at Philim, a Gurung settlement. Next, walk towards Ekle Bhatti. From here we’ll ascend a steep gorge walking through Bamboo forests to reach Deng.

Jagat to Deng (1,804m/5917 ft) 6 – 7 hrs

A short walk from Deng, we reach Ranagaon. Ascend to BihiPhedi. We then descend towards the Budi Gandaki and continue walking along the bank of the river to Ghap. Next, climb to Namrung. Experience brilliant views of Ganesh, Himalchuliat Namrung and during the trail. Overnight in Namrung.

Deng – Namrung (2630m/8626ft) 6 – 7 hrs

Make way from Namrung through a scenic trail with magnificent views of mighty Himalayan giants like DwijenHimal, SaulaHimal, Manaslu Mountain, Rupinala pass, Lajing peak. Next, we’ll pass through beautiful monasteries walking towards the Lho village. Hike towards Samagaon. Overnight at Samagaon.

Namrung – Samagaon (3530m/11,578 ft) 6-7 hours

Today, we explore the surrounding areas of Samagoan for acclimatization. Learn about the Sherpa lifestyle and see thousands of mani stones with Buddhist texts. Visit the Pungyen Gompa, an ancient monastery. Enjoy great views of the glacier. Overnight in Samagaon.

Samagaon – Pungyengompa – Samagaon: 6 – 7 hours

Leave Samagaon and head for Samdo. Descending to the Budi Gandaki River, we’ll move through the valley to reach Samdo. Witness beautiful views of Manaslu, Samdo, Nagdichuli and Manaslu glacier. Stay overnight in a camp in Samdo.

Samagaon – Samdo [3860m/12,660 ft]: 4 – 5 hours

Rest and acclimatize. Explore the surrounding areas of Samdo. Choose to either hike up to a valley or take a trip to Gya La. The hike leads us to one of the trade passes to Tibet where marvelous views of Mt. Manaslu along with other Himalayan ranges including Simran, Hiunchuli, Ngadi, Larkye Peak, Cheo can be seen.  Spot the Lophophorus, Lammergeyer and Himalayan Griffin en route. Hiking to the Gya is longer and can be exhausting. Overnight in Samdo.

Rest and Acclimatization Day in Samdo

Descend from Samdo village, cross a bridge over the Budi Gandaki and climb upwards while enjoying views of the Larkya Glacier. Head towards Dharmasala. Overnight in Dharmasala.

Samdo – Dharamsala/Larkya B. C. (4460m/14, 628 ft) 4 – 5 hours

Set off early from Dharmashala towards the base of Larkya La Pass. Reach to the summit of Larkya La Pass after an arduous climb. Witness extraordinary views of Himlung Mountain, Annapurna II Mountain, Kangurung and Cheo Mountain. Next, descend towards Bhimtang.

Dharamsala – Larkya la [5160m/16, 924 ft] – Bimthang (3720m/12, 201 ft) 8 – 9 hours

Descend towards the Surke River. We then ascent on a trail through pine forest, to reach the Dudhkoshi River. We move further moving in and out of Dharapani, passing through Gho village to ultimately reach the Tilje village. Overnight in Tilje.

Bimthang – Tilije (2300m/7544ft) 5 – 6 hours

Leave Tilije and make our way up to a bridge over Dudh Khola. After crossing the bridge pass a mani wall to reach Thonje village. From here, we continue towards Dharapani, pass through Karte village and after a brief walk across a bridge over Marshyangdi Khola. We reach Tal passing through a mani wall en route. Overnight in Tal.

Tilije – Tal (1700m/5576 ft) 5 – 6 hours

Cross the Marshyangdi Khola following the trail to Chyamje. Descending through rhododendron and pine forests to reach Syange. Overnight in Syange.

Tal – Syange (1080m/3542 ft) 6 – 7 hours

Head back to the capital via Besisahar. A short walk from Syange through Bulbule and Khudileads us to Besisahar. From here we begin our drive to Kathmandu. A farewell dinner is arranged to celebrate your successful trip in the Manaslu region. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Syange – Kathmandu: 8-9 hours

Enjoy your last day in Nepal. Transfer from your hotel to the airport.

**Venture on the journey of a lifetime to the Mount Everest Base Camp! Witness amazing vistas of the snow-capped peaks and experience unlimited thrill as you stride past alpine lakes, massive glaciers and milky white rivers on this 16-day trek in the Himalayas!**

Besides **jaw-dropping views,** you’ll also get **a glimpse of the Sherpa culture as you ascend narrow trails studded by colorful Buddhist flags, beautiful prayer wheels and well wishes for the climbers.**

We’ll begin this trip from the capital **city of Kathmandu** by taking a 40 minutes flight to Lukla. The journey over the **snow-covered peaks of the Himalayas is one of the most scenic flights** in the world!

After reaching Lukla, we’ll proceed towards Namche Bazaar, **a Sherpa village that has been the gateway to the Everest ever since Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay put their first steps on the peak.** Continuing our hike through the villages of Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, and Duglha, we’ll reach Gorak Shep, our last stop.

Our much-awaited hike to the Everest Base Camp will begin on the 10th day, from Gorak Shep. You’ll have **ample time for acclimatization** before attempting this leg of the journey. And once you reach the Base Camp, you’ll feel **a true sense of accomplishment**!

Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m), transfer to hotel, welcome dinner

Start with a scenic flight to Lukla. Meet the rest of the team there and begin our trek. Descend towards Cheplung village. At Cheplung we get to see beautiful views of Mt. Khumbila(5761m) also, known as “God of Khumbu”, a sacred mountain which has never been climbed. Continue towards Phakding. Overnight in Phakding.

Fly to Lukla, trek to Phakding (2,651m/8,700ft): 40 minutes flight; 8km, 3 – 4 hours trek

Ascend on a steep trail and cross multiple suspension bridges over the Dudhkoshi river. Pass through pine forests and small villages along the way. Continue up north the Benkar valley and pass through the Chumoa and Monjo villages. Reach the Everest National Park entrance gate at Jorsalle. All climbing passes are checked and verified here. Witness spectacular views of the snow-clad mountain. Next, we’ll climb a steep incline to reach the Hillary bridge, the longest and the highest for the day. Continue on a steep path leading up to Namche Bazaar.

Namche Bazaar is a famous town in the region. It is the starting point for all expeditions in the Everest region. It is a historic town with a rich culture and beautiful market selling everything from Tibetan artifacts to trekking and climbing equipment. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,438m/11,280 ft): 11km, 5 – 6 hours

This day is primarily meant for an acclimatization trek to a higher altitude and then back to Namche.  In a span of around 48 hours, you will have had climbed up to 11,290 ft / 3,440 m at Namche from of 4,600 ft / 1,400 m at Kathmandu.

We will hike up to a Khumjung, a vibrant Sherpa village. Visit Hillary School and Khumjung Gompa monastery.  Learn more about the Sherpa culture, taste local cuisines, and observe the never-tiring views of the Himalayas and head back to Namche. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

Namche Bazaar: Rest day

Trek to Tengoche monastery, a significant monastery at Tengboche village. Witness fantastic views of pines, azaleas and colourful mountain rhododendrons. Get excellent views of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam and Thamserku from here!

Starting on an easy trail, the path becomes steep by the end of the journey. Continue to reach Tengboche. Overnight in Tengboche.

Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870m/12,694ft): 10km, 5- 6 hours

Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche,  one of the favorite treks of explorers. Experience outstanding views of Mount Everest.

Hike a moderate trail with river crossings and wooden bridges. Pass through lush forests of birch, confer and rhododendron trees. Descend to Debuche and cross the Imja River. Continue towards Pangboche through the upper Pangboche trail. See the Pangboche Monastery along the way.  Trek a picturesque path to reach Dingboche. Overnight at Dingboche.

Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360 m/14,300 ft): 9km, 5 – 6 hours

Spend a day acclimatizing in Dingboche. Ascend a ridge and come back. Witness spectacular views of Lhotse, Makalu and Cho Oyu peaks. View the snow-clad mountains rising above the Khumbu Khola Valley, particularly Lobuche West, Lobuche East and Lhotse. The spot also offers stunning views of the Imja Khola Valley. Dingboche: Day Rest

It is a short walk from Dingboche to Duglha. With an increasing altitude, the speed slows down. We’ll see the campsite used for the first successful Everest Expedition of 1953. Witness amazing sight of Mt. Pumori during our journey. Continue on a narrow trail to reach Duglha. You’ll see numerous strands of prayer flags hung across the valley. We can hike to a nearby glacier to get a great view of Ama Dablam. Overnight in Duglha.

Trek from Dingboche to Duglha (4,600 m/15,090 ft): 4km, 3 – 4 hours

Witness exceptional views of Nuptse peak. Visit Everest memorial site and pay our respect to the fallen climbers. The journey to Lobuche begins with a demanding two-hour hike to the Khumbu Glacier. Witness outstanding views of Khumbutse, Lingtren, Pumori and Mahalangur Himal. Finally, we’ll walk towards Lobuche village. Overnight in Lobuche.

 Trek from Duglha to Lobuche (4940 m/16,207ft): 4km , 2 – 4 hours

We move along the Khumbu glacier on a tough trail towards Gorak Shep. Gorak Shep is a frozen lakebed covered with sand and it feels as if we are walking on a beach!

From here, ascend a rocky trail and glacial paths to reach the Base Camp. You’ll feel exhilarated here! See the mighty Khumbu Icefall and stunning views of the Himalayan peak. Next, we head back to Gorak Shep. Overnight in Gorak Shep.

Trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5170 m/16,961ft), visit Everest Base Camp (5364 m/17,594 ft): 13km, 6-7 hours

Ascend a slope admiring great views of Lingtren, Khumbutse, and Changtse mountains to reach Kala Patthar. It is a famous landmark which means ‘black rock’. This viewpoint offers the glorious views of Mount Everest.  After spending some time at Kala Patthar, head back to Gorak Shep and continue further to Pheriche. Pheriche is small Sherpa village,  popular for the Tshola Tsho Lake. Overnight in Pheriche.

Trek from Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5,545m/18,192ft) to Pherice (4,288m/14,070ft): 16km, 7-8 hours

Descend down 2,000 feet with occasional ups and downs. Descend through rhododendron, juniper and pine forests crossing the Dudh Koshi river. Head down to Sansa to see amazing vistas of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Nuptse mountains, to finally reach Namche Bazaar. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

Trek from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,280 ft): 20km, 6 – 7 hours

After you land in Paro, we’ll head towards Thimpu, driving for about 2 hours. We will brief you about the tour. Take your time in Thimpu to stroll through the town.

Visit many famous sites in Thimpu. We will start with the Memorial Chorten of  
the Late King Jigme Dorjee Wangchuk in the heart of the city. Next, we’ll visit  
the School of Arts and Craft, Folk Heritage Museum, National Institute of Traditional Medicine,  
Buddha Point, and Motithang Takin Preserve.

Explore Thimpu

After a hearty breakfast, we will drive to Punakha. We will make a pit stop at the Dochula pass where you will be greeted with spectacular views of the Himalayas. We then continue towards Punakha.

Thimphu to Punakha

Drive back to Paro. Today, we will visit one of the oldest Dzongs in Bhutan – the Simtokha Dzong. Next on the list is the National Museum, followed by Satsam Chorten Monastery and Paro Dzong. Overnight at Paro.

Punakha to Paro

Start early to hike to Paro Taktsang or the Tiger’s Nest. Paro Taktsang is a significant  
Buddhist sacred site in Bhutan. It is located on a cliff in Paro valley. Next, head back to the hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery

Transfer to the airport for your flight back home or the next destination.

We will begin this hiking tour in Paro and continue towards the cities of Thimpu and Punakha. Tango and Cheri Goembas, Lungchutse Monastery and the famous Tiger’s Nest are few of the several attractions we will see along the way. Once you arrive, our guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to the Hotel. After a delicious meal, we will visit the administrative center of Paro – The Rinpung Dzong which was built in 1646. Next, we will take a tour around the oldest temple in the country, Kichu Lhakhang. Next on the list is Drugyal Dzong which was built in 1646 to honor Bhutan’s victory over Tibetan invaders.

Arrive at Paro

After a hearty breakfast, we will drive to the National Museum. Next, we will hike for about 20 minutes to reach Zuri Dzong. The site offers spectacular views of the Paro valley. Make sure not to forget taking beautiful pictures of the Paro Airport, Rinpung Dzong and the soaring mountains.

Hike Zuri Dzong, drive to Thimphu

We will visit the Tango Goemba today. It only takes around half an hour to reach Tango. After that, we will hike to the temple of the “Divine Madman” which is a historic site and a center of study for monks. The site promises astounding views of the Thimpu valley. One might even spot mountain goats en route.  
Next, we will drive back to Thimphu and visit the King’s Memorial Chorten and the majestic  
TashichhoDzong.

Hike to Tango and Cheri Goembas

Today we head towards Dochula pass (3,100 meters). The pass offers some of the best views of the Himalayas. Next, we will begin our 2-hour hike to Lungchutse Monastery. We make our way through rhododendron, fir, and hemlock forests forest and walk along the high ridges decorated with colorful Buddhist prayer flags. You will witness some of the most amazing views of the Himalayas along with incredible views of the valleys below. We then trace our steps to Dochula.

Thimphu to Punakha, En route hike to Lungchutse Monastery

Today we will visit Punakha Dzong, which is famous for being one of the most beautiful Dzongs in Bhutan. After that, we will travel to Chimi Lhakhang which is also known as the temple dedicated to the Divine Madman or Lama Drukpa Kuenley. We then make our way to Paro.

Today we will start early for a hike to Paro Taktsang or the Tiger’s Nest. Paro Taktsang is a significant Buddhist sacred site in Bhutan. It is located on a cliff side on the upper Paro valley. After the visit, we will head back to the hotel.
