I began hiking and trekking in 1981, and started Guide service as a professnal JMGA (Japan Mountain Guides Association) guide in March 2005.
I guide mainly in the mountains of Kanagawa prefecture, Tokyo, Mt.Fuji and Kanto area with members of my hiking circle, and occasionally as a guide for tour mountaineering, and individuals supporting everyone's enjoyable mountain walking.

Mt. Fuji is a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2013, but Mt Fuji is not just about the climb to the summit but a package with the beautiful nature and view around it. I would like to offer a trip which combines the **Japanese tradition** in the vicinity of Fuji, **beauty of natural spring water** from the area and the **climb of Mt Fuji** itself. The spring water around Mt Fuji is used to brew Japanese Sake and for the making of Japanese traditional food such as Soba. In Oshino, there is a lake filled with this spring water, which is transparent all the way to the bed of the lake, and you can also witness the outflow of spring water from the bed of the lake.

Doing this Fuji trip in 3 days will allow us to be more flexible and adapt to weather conditions, and spend some time enjoying the cultural environment surrounding Mt. Fuji.

Fitness Level: You must have good general fitness and it would be recommended if you work on regular cardiovascular exercises.

**Itinerary**
**Day 1:** Meet at Kawaguchiko station (or Gotenba Station) in the morning. We enjoy the relaxing cultural tour by visiting the traditional Soba making factory and sources of Mt Fuji spring water. This day will serve as an acclimatisation day, as we spend our time at an altitude of around 1,000m.

**Day 2:** We move to the car park to take the bus together to Mt Fuji 5th station (2350m).  After 1 hour acclimatization, we start the hike up through Yoshida route of Mt. Fuji and stay at one of the higher mountain huts for the night.

**Day 3:** We start early and summit Mt Fuji, followed by a descent all the way down to the car park. I will drop you off at a station of your convenience.

3-day Mt Fuji Climb

**Located in the Kanagawa prefecture, Mt.Oyama, which stands like a Pyramid, has been an object of worship since ancient times, and was visited by 200,000 worshipers a year during the Edo period.**

Mount Oyama stands at 1,252 metres above sea level, and it's located in the  Tanzawa-Ōyama Quasi-National Park. It's a popular hiking route, with easy access, and rich in culture, nature and history.

On the day of the hike, we will meet at Isehara station（by Odakyu line, 1 hour from Shinjyuku station）in the morning. We take the bus or taxi together to Mt. Oyama station and take cable to Shimosya (650m). We will hike up Mt. Oyama taking 2 hours and come round back to Shimosya taking 2 more hours.

This trip is open for all skill levels, but you must be ready and fit enough to hike 5 hours, an up and down 600m steep slope. The reward is a great day hike with awesome views in a mountain that's full of history.
