**The Aosta Valley is a mountainous region of Italy very popular among winter adventures lovers.** This freeride skiing trip is your chance to explore some **stunning powder slopes** with an expert!

Located in northwestern Italy, on the border with Switzerland, **the Aosta is an alpine valley lying at the foot of impressive peaks such as Mont Blanc, Monte Rosa and the Matterhorn**. Offering several resorts, the area is a **perfect point for skiing adventures**.

The goal of this tour is to reach some **powder areas close to the lifts** and enjoy **thrilling freeride descents**. At lunch time we will make a stop to enjoy **delicious traditional dishes.**

Our optional starting points are Courmayeur, La Thuile, Cervinia/Zermatt, Gressoney/Alagna and Crevacol. **If you join me for several days we can explore all these areas!** Keep in mind that for this tour you need to be a good piste skier and to have a medium fitness level. Of course, I will be there to help and guide you on the way.

**The Aosta is an alpine valley in northwestern Italy, on the border with Switzerland.** Surrounded by amazing mountains like Mont Blanc and Matterhorn, this region offers a **true paradise for outdoor lovers**. This trip is your chance to **climb its unique icefalls** and **enjoy breathtaking landscapes views**!

**We can climb one or several of the 700 frozen walls in the Aosta Valley**. Depending on your skills and the ice conditions, we can head up single or multi-pitch routes. **The areas of Cogne, Valsavarenche, Valpelline and Rhèmes are all on the menu!**

Keep in mind that this tour is **suitable for all levels of ice climbers,** from beginners to advanced, everybody is welcome!

### Would you like to enjoy a top Cervinia ski adventure? Then this backcountry skiing program that starts from Breuil and takes you around the Cervino Ski Paradise area in Italy and the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise area in Switzerland is perfect for you!

The Cervino Ski Paradise is located in Valle d’Aosta in Italy. Matterhorn is one of the most emblematic peaks of the Swiss Alps. On this backcountry skiing adventure, we will get a taste of both as we cross the border and explore the best slopes in the region.

We will set off from Breuil Cervinia. From there, we will traverse a glacier to Zermatt. On the way, we will stop for lunch in front of the stunning Matterhorn. In the afternoon, we will return to Breuil.

Please keep in mind that you will need prior ski experience and a good fitness level. Of course, I will be there every step of the way to help and guide you.

The **Courmayeur-Mont-Blanc** area has a very popular freeride route, the **Valleé Blanche,** which crosses the amazing **Mer de Glace**. This outing is your chance to ski here under expert guidance, **join me for an exciting winter adventure!**

**The Mer de Glace is a huge glacier on the northern slopes of the Mont Blanc massi**f, just north of the Aiguille du Tacul. It is around 7.5 km long and 200 metres deep, the largest glacier in France. **This awesome spot is part of the Valleé Blanche**, which we can access using the Courmayeur skyway cable car

After taking some photos from the panoramic terrace at the top of the cable car, we will begin the descent along the 24 km of the Mer de Glace. We will enjoy **between 4 to 5 hours of freeride skiing amongst granite pillars and crevasses, surrounded by breathtaking landscape.** At the end of the descent, after a beer in Chamonix, we will return by bus to Courmayeur (30min.).

Please note that this trip is suitable for good off piste skiers with at least a medium fitness level.

Freeride skiing day on Mer de Glace, Courmayeur-Mont Blanc (Valleé Blanche)

On this exciting off-piste adventure in the Aosta Valley, we will move from the trees to the highest part of Courmayeur resort searching for the best powder for a day of fun! The spectacular Mont Blanc range in the background will line the way, and we will also have the option to explore some of the amazing off-piste runs around La Thuile, a must if you're in Courmayeur.

The itinerary we will follow will be adapted to your needs. In Courmayeur, we can reach the top of the lifts, and depending on snow conditions, we can ski down to Dolonne village or, on the other side, to Val Veny.

La Thuile offers even more options! With the same ticket, we can ski on the Italian and French sides. We can start in the Belvedere and Piccolo San Bernardo area, then we can cross to France (La Rosière) and finally go to the new Mont Valaisan lift where we have many different free ride options (this place is also an international free ride competition area). Or, we can try my favorite option, which is to put our skis on our backpacks and walk about 20-30 minutes to the gorgeous summit of Mont Valaisan, where you can enjoy a wonderful view from the top and then a superb descent to La Thuile (more than 1500 meters down).
