I was born in Tokyo and grew up skiing in Hakuba, Japan. Throughout the years, I have visited Alaska, Peru, Patagonia, New Zealand, Nepal and Canada for winter climbing and backcountry snowboarding.

In 2012, I became the first Japanese person to pass the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides's ski guiding course on a Snowboard. I have been guiding in Japan (Hakuba Nagano and Mt. Fuji), New Zealand and Canada for over 15 years.

We climbed Mount Fuji at the end of May (off season). Despite a majority of our party having no previous ice climbing experience, we were able to make it up to the summit and back, and had a fantastic experience. With years of experience guiding, Yusuke knew exactly what pace to set, and was a very stoic encouragement the whole way up. Highly recommend, especially for smaller parties.5
This was one for the books! It was an amazing, unforgettable experience to have explored and hiked up to Mount Fuji. When I saw their platform and read the reviews, I thought I should give a try. I’m glad I did! My guide Yosuke was helpful and very responsive to my inquiries even before the hike. He gave me advices on what to bring, gear and other preparations needed. I always reach out to him especially during the time I’m trying to get the right gear and shoes. On the day of the hike, he was at the hotel lobby on the dot to pick me up. Yusuke is amazing . Very knowledgeable (he has climbed Fuji more than 500 times!). He is also very considerate and knows how to make the climb as comfortable as possible. It's a great experience, especially off-season. You do have to take it seriously by getting the right boots etc and by appreciating that weather can interfere (we had to move ours one day later because of weather). I give my highest possible recommendation to Yusuke.
