The Pyrenees and the Pre-Pyrenees mountains in northern Spain offer an incredible variety of rock climbing options, of different length and level of difficulty. From granite and limestone of all qualities to the curious conglomerates, amazing walls and peaks await you here.

**For one or more days, I can guide you on some great climbs** in the Pic du Midi d’Ossau, **Mallos de Riglos, Ordesa Valley or Mont-Rebei**, among others. Spain is an authentic sunny rock climbing paradise, with many famous routes to choose from.

You also have the option of climbing on fully equipped roads or clean fissures, where we will have to place almost all the protections.  These are some of the climbing locations you can choose from: 

*   **Midi d’Ossau.** One of the great peaks of the Pyrenees. It rises at the entrance of the valley, as if it were the Pyrenean Matterhorn. The Ossau is the peak with more climbing routes in the Pyrenees: Proposed routes: Southeast classic: 530 mt V + MD inf / Flipp Matinal: 250 mt 6a MD sup / Via de los Surplombs: 290 mt 6a MD sup / Espolón Este:260 mt 6b + (6a obl) ED inf / Las cuatro puntas (The four points:(Jean-Sante, Punta Aragón, Gran Pic, Petit Pic): 650mt +, D +
    
*   **Mallos de Riglos.** They are onf of the mythical walls of our geography and more specifically of the Aragonese Pre-Pyrenees. Their aesthetics and verticality make them a very particular climbing, and we must add on top of that the quality of the rock and the athletic climbing. We offer you a series of classic routes spread across the most representative mallos. Proposed routes: Serón- Millán (Mallo Pisón): 300 mt /  V + Murciana (Mallo Pisón): 260 mt 6c + (6a + obl) / Rabada- Navarro (Mallo Fire): 360 mt 6b (6a obl) /Galletas (Mallo Fire): 315mt, 6b A0 (V + obl) / Mosquitos (Visor): 250 mt 6b / A0, (V + obl) Normal al Puro: 200mt, 6b / A0 (V + obl) / Espolon Adamelo: (Buttress Pison) 200 mt V + /  Jorge Sanz (Mallo Frechin): 220 mt 6a 
    
*   **Ordesa**. Dozens of stories have been written about the terrifying emptiness and the instability of the huge blocks on the walls of Ordesa. Here you have the opportunity to learn more about these classic routes. Proposed routes: Brujas/Franco- Española: 435mt 6b (6a obl) MD sup / Ravier al Tozal:350 mt 6a + (V + obl) MD / Espolon de Primavera: 215 mt 6a MD / Edelweis – Gallinero: 400 mt 6b obl. Or the route of your choice!
    
*   **Mont Rebei.** The imposing walls of Mont Reebei attract everyone who visits them, many meters and an overwhelming atmosphere accompany us at all times in their vertical routes. Proposed routes: Diedre Gris: 410 mt 6a + (V + obl) /  Paul Lalueza: 450 mt V + / Delfos: 415 mt V + / Latin Brothers: 475 mt 7a / A1 (6a obl) / Cade: 550mt 6c (6a obl) / Santiago Domingo: 415 mt V + 
    
*   **Vilanova de Meia.** Necronomicon 140mt  V+/ Musical expres 220mt 6b (6a obl) /El señor de los Bordillos 210mt 6c+ /Lleida 200mt V+/A0 /Tierra de Nadie 175 mt 6b+ / Wild Planet 275 mt V+/A0 / Rampas invertidas 200 mt 6a / Diedre Farreny 170 mt  V+
    
*   **Terradets.** Cade 500 mt V+/Ae / Reina Puig 530mt V+/Ae / Gali-Molero 500 mt 6b, (V+ obl) / Pere Camins 460 mt 7a+( V+ Ae obl) / Mescalina 430 mt 7b, 6a A0 / Colores 215 mt 6b / Merchely 390 mt 6a.

### **Welcome to this 3-day climbing adventure in Vignemale.**

As you may know, **Vignemale** is the highest point in the French Pyrenees and probably, the most impressive alpine wall in the region.

Ascending through the **Gaube Valley** we'll find the great 900-meter rock wall, the **Vignemale's north face**. The direct route leads to the Petit Vignemale Glacier (Oulettes). From there we'll have to take the Gaube Corridor. In the final section, when arriving at the glacier, the corridor closes in a vertical and stunning ice wall.

Undoubtedly, it's a must do for a Pyrenean climber. The maximum difficulty grade of this itinerary is **V (intermediate-sustained)**. That means there will be large technical sections of scrambling. However, its multi-pitch route makes it **one of the best climbs in the whole Pyrenees!**

Climbing day. We will head to the wall very early in order to approach through the glacier and start to enjoy the first pitches. Descent by the normal route and return to the hut to enjoy the views of the wall we just climbed!

The **Pic du Midi d’Ossau** is the most singular peak in the Pyrenees. In fact it is usually compared to the Matterhorn in the Alps. Furthermore, it’s a very attractive peak with a sharp silhouette which offers a fun climb to everyone that attempts to reach its summit.

Today I propose you to climb the **Pic du Midi d’Ossau by its normal route**. It consists in 3 crux sections of 20-meter steps where we must scramble and climb. It will be an intermediate difficulty wall so we’ll need to use safety ropes.

The views from the top of the Pic du Midi d’Ossau are some of the best in the Pyrenees thanks to its monolithic shape.

Our starting point will be at **Col du Portalet**, at 6 AM. After checking the gear we will start the approach through the Aneu Valley, passing through the iconic emplacement of the **Pombie Hut**. We will probably see many climbers starting their routes in the huge Pombie Wall.

Now it’s climbing time. It will be a unique experience for those classic **mountaineers or trekkers that are looking for a bigger challenge**. Basically, the climb has 3 chimneys that will make us use our hands.

They are not technically difficult and the scenery gets more and more amazing as long as we are gaining altitude. Before getting to the summit of the Pic du Midi d’Ossau we will enjoy a beautiful ridge section with really stunning views.

This **Midi d’Ossau rock climbing program** is the chance to put your rock climbing abilities into practice in this majestic walls!

**Midi d’Ossau peak lies in the french Pyrenees**, very close to the Spanish border. Because of its pyramidal shaped peak it is very renown among climbers. Plus, even its normal route up is a very technical one. So, all climbs in this mountain will mark your experience as a rock climber .

But the **Pyrenees** have many more rock climbing options, which I will be happy to guide you to. Here are some proposals:

*   **Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park.**
    
*   **Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park.**
    
*   **Montrebei gorge.**
    

Indeed, in all these places you'll find granite and limestone walls with all kinds of routes up. Sport, technical or clean approaches are easy to find. There is something for everyone here. And I know them all, so I'll be able to help you make the most out of it! We can go for 1 or several days.

**Vignemale (3298m) is the highest peak in the French Pyrenees.** With 900 meters of limestone walls, the north face of Vignemale is one of the largest in the Pyrenees. **Join me in this fantastic destination for multi-pitch rock climbing!**

We will be in the Pyrenees National Park, close to the border with Spain.

There are many climbing routes in Vignemale. And the ascent of the summit, rising to 3298m, is a perfect example of what "pyreneism" means.

I propose to you here to climb the north face of Grand Vignemale (or Pique Longue) by the classic route. It will be 800 meters of exciting climbing! We will get the chance to see the impressive Ossoue glacier, as part of the climb is over this area. But if you want to try another route, it's also possible.

Even though the climbing area is easily accesible, the terrain has remained quite unspoilt. So we get to appreciate the natural surroundings during this fantastic 2-day climb.
