Ready for a unique skiing adventure? Then follow me to explore the wonderful off-piste areas in the Kanin Ski Resort in the Julian Alps. Determine your goals, wishes and the amount of time you wish to spend in the mountains and I’ll organize the perfect trip for you and your group.

The Kanin Ski Resort is no ordinary resort. It is Slovenia’s highest ski resort, connected to Sella Nevea, an Italian ski resort. With its characteristic alpine wilderness and Mediterranean light, it stands out from other nearby spots. Furthermore, its stone pillars and karst deserts make it a backcountry skiing paradise.

This trip is ideal for both beginners and advanced skiers. If you prefer a one-day trip, we’ll explore the area through lifts or walking to the different pistes. If you’d like to stay longer in the area, I can organize a trip combining freeride skiing with ski touring in the resort. Whatever option you choose, I can guarantee this will be an unforgettable experience.

Aspirant Guide

I am an aspirant IFMGA mountain guide, born in 1987, from Vuhred, now living in Ljubljana, Slovenia. I have been discovering mountains from an early age. I started climbing at the age of 15 and now it has become a way of life.

During my active years as an alpinist, I have been on four expeditions to the Andes, Himalaya and China and I was nominated for the Piolet d’or for the ascent to Xulian Feng in China.

I like all types of alpine activities such as alpine climbing, sport climbing, ski touring, etc. Overall I like to spend my time in the mountains. That is why I decided I not only want to climb for myself, but to guide other people, so they can experience what I have until now.
My mission as a mountain guide is to provide you the safest way to discover mountains, so that you can explore the vertical world in a different way. I will guide you to more or less populated mountain trails and climbing routes.

The experience truly was 5*, the scenery of 7 lakes valleys was just breathtaking. Igor was amazing guide, he really took care of us and explained about the local culture and nature while drinking few beers at the hut & waiting the sunset:) Especially the "fast route down", via ferrata and meeting the mountain goat was very memorable!
