Description

The Sassolungo (“Langkofel”, in German) is a mountain group in the western Dolomites, in Italy. On this mountaineering adventure you will get to the top of its highest point under expert guidance. Join me!

Located in the Bolzano Province of the Trentino-Alto Adige Region, these stunning mountains border the beautiful valleys of Gardena and Fassa. The highest point, Mount Sassolungo, boasts an altitude of 3,181m. Around it, we will see other impressive peaks such as Grohmann, Innerkofler Tower, Mount Dente, and Mount Sasso Piatto.

This amazing range has lots of towers and rock boulders that are part of mountaineering history. Our adventure begins from Sella pass to Forcella Demetz, the starting point of the normal route. Then, a fun and exposed ascent will get us to the summit of Sassolungo where the viewpoint is awesome!
