Giovanni Lipella stands out for its beauty and the fun it offers. Deep inside the heart of the Dolomites, it also offers fantastic views of the whole valley of Cortina, and other majestic peaks such as Antelao. What’s more, it will take you back in time, as you learn about this incredible place, which was the location of many memorable events during the First World War.
This amazing via ferrata is not for everyone. In fact it is considered quite difficult. So you need to have a good fitness level and be willing to challenge yourself. However, worry not, as I will accompany you and your group exclusively, to ensure your fun and safety. And once we stands at its top, the sceneries you’ll get, will be the best price for your effort.
The journey begins at the Dibona Hut. From there, it takes about 60 minutes to reach its summit. Our paths will cross galleries of WWI, and splendid sights. Thereupon the descent is on a medium easy trail, until we reach the starting point again.
Would you like to join me on this via ferrata adventure? Don’t miss this unique opportunity. Send me a request and let me guide you across this spectacular place.

I started my career as an aerospace engineer, my first passion and then became a full-time IFMGA mountain guide, my second passion, since 2013. Working as a mountain guide gratifies me a lot. I enjoy very much transmitting my knowledge about the mountains and its activities to my friends and clients.
I’m based in the Dolomites where I have climbed most of the mountain surroundings us here, including “Via attraverso il Pesce” in Marmolada and “Captain sky-hook” in Civetta. I also enjoy a lot guiding in the rest of the Alps, ice climbing, ski touring, freeride skiing, rock climbing and mountaineering.
Feel free to contact me if you want to live a great adventure in the Dolomites or anywhere else in the Alps, during the winter or the summer. It will be a great pleasure for me to guide you and allow you to reach your goal. I work with other mountain guides in the Veneto area, such as Filippo, Massimo, and my brother Daniele. If I am unavailable on the date you are interested in coming climbing, skiing, or engaging in other activities with me, I can connect you with one of them.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
