2-day via ferrata around Alicante

Enjoy a great climb in Spain around the historic Mediterranean port city of Alicante on the Costa Blanca.

Join me for 2 days doing via ferratas in different corners of the province. Escape the urban environment and head towards the mountains.

Via ferratas are all fully equipped with steps, chains and handrails that enable us to conquer the rocks without too much knowledge of mountaineering. The excitement and exhilaration of via ferratas have their origins in morbid military practice of the First World War for soldiers to quickly ascend the steep terrain.

Depending on your level of ability and experience, we have a number of options available. The first option is to climb the Norte del Cid, a beautiful via ferrata that is well equipped yet offers challenging aerial sections, as well as the Sierra de la Villa.

The second option is to climb the ferrata of the Ponoig, meaning Sleeping Lion, which consists of two similar sections that are mostly vertical. In addition, we will climb the Penya del Figueret.

Whatever option we choose it guarantees magnificent views above the Mediterranean Sea, as we explore this section of the Costa Blanca.
