The Appalachian Mountains are representative of the United States. Their wonder extends to each sub-range throughout the eastern United States. It makes sense then that the limestone and granite slabs of the Blue Ridge Mountains are replete with phenomenal routes and ascents for every level of rock climber. With easy access, remote charm, and awe-inspiring aesthetics, this region is the pride and joy of Virginia’s vast wilderness.

Trad and sport climbers alike flock to the park and its more than 150 routes to connect with its enchanting beauty and immaculate country. Bouldering fields abound, offering exciting routes of all difficulties. Rock climbers can expect graded climbs of 5.2 all the way through 5.12 and 5.13. There truly is something for everyone.

Our program immerses you in Shenandoah. We will meet along Skyline Drive at the Little Stony Man parking lot, thus providing access to many of the park’s immaculate courses. The Crackin (5.11d) at Old Rag and The Shield Direct (5.8) at Little Stony Man are classic trad routes, and Kopley’s Corner (5.7) at the Bent Tree Area is great for top roping. The choices are limitless, so you get to pick and choose the program that best suits your needs from a wide array of memorable routes.

The best part of your trip is its flexibility. Day-long programs allow ample opportunity to discover the region’s best climbs.
