Description

Mount Pisco (5,752m) is located in the Cordillera Blanca range about 60 km north of the city of Huaraz, in Perú. On this amazing 3-day mountaineering trip, you will reach its summit and enjoy some breathtaking views!

The Cordillera Blanca (Spanish for “white range”) is part of the Andes and extends for 200 km. It is the most extensive tropical ice-covered range in the world and has the biggest concentration of ice in Perú. Pisco is one of its most popular peaks.

After picking you up in Huaraz, we will go to Cebollapampa to meet the muleteers and the donkeys that will carry our luggage. Then, once at the Pisco base camp, we will prepare the equipment for the following day when we will head to the summit of this majestic mountain. From the top of Pisco we will enjoy stunning views of  Huascaran, Huandoy, Chopicalqui, Chacraraju, Artesonraju and Alpamayo Mountains. Additionally, on the third day, before returning back to Huaraz, we can also hike to Lagoon 69, located within the Huascarán National Park, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. You can check the complete itinerary below!

This adventure involves hiking on snow slopes with an inclination up to 35 degrees and a short section of steep ice. Therefore, for this trip, it is important for you to have some mountaineering experience involving hiking on snow and ice. Additionally, you need to be physically fit. It is not a hard trail but the altitude can make it challenging.

So, if you want to reach the top of Mount Pisco, please contact me. I am sure that you will love this fabulous mountain in the Cordillera Blanca!

I also offer other alpine adventures in the region. Check out this 6-day trek from Olleros to Chavin.

I like mountains and I love nature, I practice cycling and hiking, I know very well the hiking trails of Cordillera Blanca and Huayhuash.
The passion for nature was my inspiration to study Official Tourist Guide. I am experienced in travel organisation and logistics, especially adventure travel.
At present I’m a logistics manager at a travel agency with German clients, and I also have my own agency where I take care of the organisation of the adventure trips (trekking, mountaineering, mountain bike and day hikes).

Amazing trek with an amazing company. Our guide, David, was incredible and the assistants Teo and Alejandro were always incredibly positive. I would recommend this trek to anyone and it was the best cost per person I saw out of any company, by a mile.

Romer was amazing. He was very responsive and helpful. He always replied within a few hours (at the most), and was very accommodating when we needed to change things. He even went and paid a deposit at a local hotel to hold our reservation for us. I can't say enough good about Romer. The itinerary of the trip was a bit difficult. It started at a camp that was 13,700 above sea level, and the first day of trekking was 8 hours of hard terrain. Other treks I've done start lower and have a pace of 5-6 hours per day. Also, our guide Fredy was a bit inexperienced. He was a very kind person, but didn't provide much service to our small team.

We had an incredible experience with Marco! Loved getting to know him - he’s not just a guide… he’s an amazing chef, friend, and he is incredibly knowledgeable on everything Peru! Thank you so much!!
