Description

Welcome to an introductory high mountain course for children! A 3-day learning adventure open to everyone between 8 and 12 years old that want to learn how to move on glaciers and climbing routes. Courmayeur is the perfect environment for such an exciting experience.

During this 3-day course, kids will be provided with all the theoretical and practical information they need to carry out alpine hiking and climbing activities.

As for the itinerary we’ll meet up in Courmayeur, from where we’ll drive to the cablecar that leads to the Helbronner Peak at 3440 meters of height. During this day we’ll practice some glacier walking and then return to Courmayeur in the afternoon.

On day 2 we’ll meet up at the same place to start our training of the day: alpine climbing! Back to Courmayeur.

On day 3, after meeting up we’ll go to the Mont Blanc cablecar station and then, up to the Helbronner Mountain again. More glacier walking and a rewarded mountain climb to the Vierge Summit (3325m).

Without a doubt it will be an unforgettable experience for them and why not, the starting point towards the development of new skills.

We did a 1 day Ferrata with Marica. We've both never climbed a Ferrata before but we are both good hikers. We enjoyed our trip very much and you don't need to be a climber. Marica took good care of us and she is very informative with the local geography and history. We felt very safe with her. If you are traveling near the Dolomite and want to try something a bit out of your comfort zone, I highly recommend doing a ferrata especially with Marica. We did both ferrata ra gusela nuvolau and ferrata-averau. It took us about 6 hours.
