Description

Your epic, month-long mountaineering trek through the Himalayas begins as soon as you touchdown at Kathmandu’s international airport.

From there we will bring you to the hotel and you have the rest of the day free to explore this ancient city. The next day we will go on a sightseeing tour, visiting all three of the city’s UNESCO World Heritage Sights, including the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupati Nath, Swayambhu Nath (the famous Monkey Temple) and the Buddhist shrine of Bouddha Nath.

The next morning we will all board our private shuttle and head for Bhulbhule, where our trek begins. The drive takes about eight hours and passes through scenic countryside with river views, a patchwork of colorful villages, all with the massive Himalayas as a backdrop. It is really quite stunning.

From Bhulbhule, we will spend about one week trekking to base camp, surrounded by sublime Himalayan nature. We will then spend the next two weeks acclimatizing at base camp and eventually making our way to the summit. This is a lengthy process because the altitudes are so high that we will take several days at a time to adjust our bodies as we go up. The views from the top will be more than worth it though.

Finally, we will spend a few days trekking back before taking another absolutely beautiful bus ride along the shores of the Marshyangdi and Trishuli rivers with spectacular views of greenery and mountains along the way.

Before it is time to say goodbye, you will have one more free day to do as you please in Kathmandu. On the final night we will have a farewell dinner before shuttling you to the airport the next morning.

So what are you waiting for? Book now for the adventure of a lifetime as you navigate your way through the Himalayan wilderness and up to the summit of Mt Himlung Himal!

Our guide Dr Flemming was excellent. He went above and beyond what we expected. We felt very safe and well trained to practice our climbing. Location was perfect and even though rain had been forecasted, they worked with us to make sure we could climb safely.

I had an enlightening day with Roger, the experience has increased my desire to learn more about rock climbing and commit time to mountaineering and absolute pleasure worth every minute of my time and money.
