Description

Golden temples, charming hill villages and the most amazing views of the Himalaya Mountains: this 35-day expedition in Nepal has it all! Join me on this mountaineering adventure and conquer the amazing Mt. Ama Dablam (6,812 m).

Due to its geographical and natural diversity, Nepal has become an excellent destination for mountaineering and trekking expeditions. During this adventure, we’ll discover one of the most spectacular mountains in this country and in the entire world. Located in the Himalaya range of eastern Nepal, I invite you to conquer Mt. Ama Dablam, also known as the “Matterhorn of the Himalaya”.

Our adventure will begin in Kathmandu where we’ll start preparing for this mountaineering ascent while learning about this country’s exotic culture. From there, we’ll take a short flight to the city of Lukla and start ascending from village to village. We’ll go all the way from Phakding to Tengboche until we reach the Mt. Ama Dablam base camp located at 4,650 m /15,255 ft.

Once we’re ready and properly acclimatized, we’ll take on the Southwest Ridge Route. Along the way, we’ll combine great treks with technical rock, snow and ice climbing and we’ll set up 3 camps until we reach this mountain’s powerful summit. For a more detailed description of the trip, take a look at the itinerary below!

Please keep in mind that this ascent will depend on weather conditions and that unforeseen circumstances could alter our itinerary. However, I will make sure you are safe at all times and that we make it to the top in the best possible conditions.

This program is suitable for highly experienced mountaineers only. I strongly recommend that all participants have a previous experience of climbing a mountain of at least 6,000 m and of Alpine PD+/AD routes. Additionally, all climbers need to be physically fit.

It will be my absolute honor to guide you on this 35-day expedition. So if you are ready to conquer the spectacular Mt. Ama Dablam in Nepal, request to book this trip and get ready for an experience you’ll never forget!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
