Description

Join me on this fantastic mountaineering adventure to reach the summit of Nevado Pisco. This emblematic peak in the Cordillera Blanca, rises at 5,760 meters. Located in the Huandoy Massif, it is one of Peru‘s most iconic mountains. One you cannot miss exploring!

There are many reasons that make this one of the best mountaineering expeditions. First of all, Nevado Pisco is an accessible peak. It is very close to Huaraz, a marvellous town in the heart of the Yungay Province. So, on top the climbing journey, we will get the chance to explore this and other equally enchanting peruvian towns. What’s more, we’ll get to try the exquisite local cuisine.

Also, Nevado Pisco is not a difficult ascent. Hence, it is perfect for those looking to acclimatize. Or it is ideal for climbers who wish to train for more technical and higher ascents. However, please notice you need to have a good fitness level to join this expedition.

Moreover, Pisco is peak of great significance for the country. Its name comes from the quechua word pishqu, which means bird. As the mountain has the shape of a bird, and it lies in a strategic place with a privileged 360º view of the whole area. Also, it gives its name to Peru’s most famous drink, which we can can try as a reward once we return from our exciting journey.

So if you have the fitness level required, and wish to embark on this adventure, don’t hesitate and request to book this trip. It will be an unforgettable trip to the summit of Pisco.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
