5-day ascent to Pili Volcano, Atacama

Acamarachi Volcano, also known as Pili Volcano, is a stratovolcano situated in the Antofagasta region of Chile, near San Pedro de Atacama. This peak in the Andes lies at 6,046 meters above sea level and used to be a sacred sanctuary for the Incas 500 years ago.

The meeting point of this trip will be San Pedro de Atacama. On day 1, we’ll go to the Salado and Grande rivers. On day 2, we’ll visit the little village of Machuca and head to the Blanco geyser. Then, on day 3, we’ll approach the base camp of the volcano. Day 4 will be our summit day. After a long climb, we’ll contemplate the crater of Pili Volcano and return to base camp. Finally, on day 5, we’ll return to San Pedro de Atacama and say goodbye.

Because this is a challenging climb, it is important to have a very good fitness level to participate**.** Of course, I will be there to help and guide you all the way!
