Description

Deep inside the Arctic Circle and far north of the wonderful Swedish Lapland, a long-distance path known as the King's Trail offers amazing opportunities for ski touring expeditions!

Famous for being one of the world's "classic" ski touring routes, the King's Trail is ideal for those intermediate and advanced skiers who are ready to immerse in the dramatic scenery of the Swedish winter.

Our proposal is to travel all the way from the Abisko Mountain Station to the base of Mt. Kebnekaise (2,195 m), the highest peak in Sweden. From hut to hut, we’ll explore the most famous part of this route which is the Abisko-Kebnekaise trail. The distance between these accommodations vary from may 13-20 km, and consequently every day we'll cover between 12-20 km. Please bear in mind that in order to participate in this program all participants will need to have a great physical condition, previous ski touring experience and be comfortable skiing with a pack weight of around 10-14kg. For more information, you may find a detailed itinerary below!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
