Highlights

  • Combine Gran Paradiso and Mont Blanc in a compact 5-day mountaineering trip.
  • Climb glacier terrain and high-altitude routes with a certified UIAGM/IFMGA guide.
  • Choose between the classic Goûter Route or the 4000s Route for Mont Blanc.

Description

Take on two classic Alpine summits in one 5-day program: Gran Paradiso (4,061 m) and Mont Blanc (4,808 m), guided by a certified UIAGM/IFMGA mountain guide.

The journey starts in Chamonix, one of Europe’s main mountaineering hubs, before moving to the Gran Paradiso massif in Italy. The first ascent is planned over two days, with an approach to the Vittorio Emanuele II Refuge followed by the summit climb and return to Chamonix. Gran Paradiso offers a complete Alpine experience while also helping the body adapt to altitude and glacier terrain before the Mont Blanc ascent.

After returning to Chamonix, the Mont Blanc section begins. This part of the program takes place over three days and can follow either the classic Goûter Route or the 4000s Route, which is not available in August.

On the Goûter Route, the ascent progresses through Tête Rousse Refuge and Goûter Refuge before the final climb to the summit of Mont Blanc and the descent back to the valley.

On the 4000s Route, the climb starts with the lift to Aiguille du Midi and an overnight stay at the Cosmiques Refuge. The following day includes an acclimatization ascent of Mont Blanc du Tacul before the final summit day, crossing Mont Maudit and Col de la Brenva, then descending via the Goûter Route to return to Chamonix.

The main logistics are taken care of, so you can focus on the climb and the mountain experience.

Make the most of your time in the Alps and take on Gran Paradiso and Mont Blanc in one guided 5-day program!

    Accommodation

The program includes half-board accommodation in the mountain huts. Accommodation in Chamonix on the night of Day 2 is not included.

    More info

A very good fitness level and previous mountain experience are required. Participants should be used to long days, sustained ascents, and alpine terrain.

For the Mont Blanc section, it is important to feel confident using crampons and an ice axe and to be able to handle several days of effort at altitude. The 5-day program is ideal for those who are not fully acclimatized, as the Gran Paradiso ascent helps prepare the body before attempting Mont Blanc.
