Description

Traveling to Slovenia? You are at the right place to improve your rock climbing skills. Join this 1-day climbing trip near Bled, one of the top rock climbing areas in the country.

Located in a mountainous area on the west side of Slovenia, the town of Bled is a great destination for an active holiday. Rock climbing areas are very accessible from here. In fact, we can get there with a 10 minutes drive!

I recommend this programme for intermediate or advanced climbers who want to hone their skills by training a whole day with a professional. We’ll practice different climbing techniques and climb 10 routes up to 25 meters. All the routes are graded between 3-7a + in the French grading system.

This is a demanding programme, so I recommend you to be in excellent physical conditions. Expect between 4 to  6 hours of climbing.

Ready for a rock climbing training day in Slovenia? Send a request to book this trip! I will be glad to be your guide in this amazing limestone walls.

You can combine this trip with any other you wish and receive a discount. For a less demanding rock climbing trip, please check out this half-day trip climbing 3 routes near Bled. Besides, feel free to ask about other non-mountain activities including horseback riding, mountain biking, skydiving, paragliding, kayaking, hot air ballooning and more!

Mountain Guide

I’m a certified IFMGA mountain guide and canyoning guide living in the small and famous town of Bled, in Slovenia.

I started rock climbing at the age of 5. From that time on, the mountains became my playground. During my childhood, I took part in many rock climbing competitions. When I was 12, my twin brother and I did our first multi-pitch climb on a 350 m wall.

By the age of 16, I started competing in ice climbing world cups and later on skydiving junior world cups. In fact, in 2008 I became the world champion at the UIAA Ice Climbing Overall Ranking in speed ice climbing.

I climbed in many different countries like Peru, South Korea, Switzerland, France and Italy. However, Slovenia is the place I like the most.

Among other significant achievements, I did the first winter ascent (from the bottom of the wall) in Sphinx, the most difficult route in the mythical North Face of Mt Triglav. Besides, I got the first place for males at the IFMGA International mountain guide climbing championship in 2017.

I like sharing moments with people, especially in mountains. Feel free to join me in the highest mountains, steepest walls and many other Alpine wonders. I’m flexible, so we can also research places in other countries worldwide. Deep canyons, emerald rivers, beautiful mountains, great people, a good laugh, you name it.

I look forward to meeting you!

We loved our hike with Alex! She was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and just fun to be around. This hike was a highlight of our weeklong trip - thank you!

The guides were both amazing . They were real teachers and patient and very knowledgeable. I felt safe the whole time. They also were photo takers which was honestly a major positive contributing factor. I want to focus on my climb and not taking pictures and they took so many and it was really wonderful.

Arshman

Incredible day :) Highly recommend ~ - My guide was thoughtful, easy-going, witty and eager to impart good climbing etiquette. We shared great conversation and had lots of fun together! A true highlight on my time whilst travelling. - The picking up/ drop off was handy

Andy

A sensational experience. I booked the Triglav winter climb as a "Bucket List" dream. It did not disappoint. I have very little experience of mount climbing but felt very safe throughout. The guides supported our groups needs and made sure we had the best time possible. The photo's they provided us of the experience were a great reminder. You need to have a reasonable level of fitness but they take care of the rest. 10/10.
