Strong recommendation. Walking poles could ve been useful support for hiking part.
Luka was an amazing guide. He was able to both challenge our son, who is an experienced rock climber, but
also give my spouse and I the encouragement we needed to have a great time for our first day of outdoor climbing. I highly recommend him!
Our day with Jan and Youna (I’m definitely spelling their names wrong, sorry) went very well, he made sure to
check our skill level and chose climbs based on it. He also offered tips on how to tackle climbs and was very attentive to our safety. A great plus is helping us take photos with his amazing camera. Great day out on the rocks!
1) The guide : Really nice person, and experimented climber. I always felt safe with him. He had a plan A
and a plan B, if the plan A was too hard for me. 2) The trip. First time mixt climbing, and i really enjoyed it. The slovenska route is more funny to climb than going to the summit from the hut ! So i really recommend going with Luka anywhere you want to go, especially because there are so nice mountains in Slovénia
Luka was a fantastic guide, we were complete beginners and he took us through all the equipment and techniques making
us feel super safe up on the rock. Luka is a very friendly guy and we really felt he gave us great value for our trip and I would recommend him to anyone wanting to climb in Slovenia
Had a great morning climbing with Luka – he found some routes that were just right for the grade I
climb at, and was great to climb with. I would highly recommend this trip!
Had an absolutely amazing morning sending a few routes on the limestone near Bled. Our guide JERRY was a super
friendly guy who went well out of the way to make us feel welcome. We stopped by a bakery in route to pick up some snacks for the day and picked up Bella, an adorable friendly little mountain dog. Jerry’s knoweledge of the rock was excellent and he quickly got my partner and I set up in appropriate routes. We also climbed near to nesting peregrine falcons to top things off!
Matevz is an excellent guide and we had an amazing half day climbing around Bled. Would highly recommend this tour!
We had a great time rock climbing! Our guide was very knowledgeable and made the experience fun for both us
and our kids. We can’t wait to do it again!
We had an amazing time. Andrej is such a good guide, he has so much experience, we learnt a lot
from him! We also felt completely safe even on those parts of the route which were a bit more difficult. The route itself is great for aspiring climbers. We had no climbing experience and felt it was perfect – you do climb the whole of the North face and there is almost no walking so you definitely get a good taste of alpine climbing but it is not too technical. It took us a long time, longer than expected, and we ended up staying in a mountain hut overnight and walking back the next day. Definitely do it but if you want to go the summit it might be better to book the two day trip as it a very long climb indeed (it took us 15 hours to get to the summit) – but of course totally worth it and the views are spectacular!
We had a great day out at the craig with Matevz!
Thank you so much for making this arguably the best part of our 2 week stay in Slovenia. We highly
recommend Altitude Adventures. All the staff are friendly and the guides were experienced, encouraging and a pleasure to be around. We were given loads of pictures and the gear was comfortable. Thanks again.
The guide is really professional and friendly but the route “Salaska” has only 4 pitches of real rockclimbing.I would recommend
another more technical route with the same guide.
Our climb with Rok was awesome. He adjusted the plan because weather conditions weren’t great for multi-pitching so we went
to a nearby crag and did mostly sports routes but also had the chance to try a bit of trad climbing as well. He chose good routes for us which were at the right level – challenging but enjoyable. He made the effort to incorporate teaching on climbing technique and technical skills like setting up a belay point. Jamie and I really enjoyed hanging out with Rok, who shared his passion for climbing with us, and was super helpful in giving us advice for climbing we could do during the rest of our stay in Slovenia. So glad we found you guys! Best wishes
Juliet & Jamie for Slovenia guided rock climbing
Climbing Mount Triglav was at the very top of my list of things to do in Slovenia and thanks in
large part to Mitja the whole experience exceeded my expectations. Not only is he an incredibly experienced and versatile guide (he guides rock climbing, ice climbing and all sorts of other things as well as hikes), he’s also really easy to talk to and great fun to hang out with, putting everyone instantly at ease. He was very knowledgeable about the mountain and the area too, telling us about everything from its geology, flora and fauna to how food is brought into the huts and what crazy records have been set by guides and other mountaineers attempting all sorts of feats on its slopes. Best of all was that I really felt his passion for what he does coming through. He clearly loves his job, loves meeting people and loves Slovenia. And he wants to see the outdoor tourism industry develop and thrive here. I’d recommend anyone interested in trekking Triglav give him a call. You couldn’t be in better company.
I had the pleasure of being guided up Mt Mangart (via Italiana route) by Mitja Sorn in June 2015. Mitja
helped me organize two climbs at short notice to fit into my travelling schedule. He was extremely professional and safe on the mountain which gave me confidence and enabled me to enjoy the experience knowing I was in great hands. Along with his professionalism he was also entertaining, happily answering questions and joking the whole day. Since the climb Mitja has been in contact at my request to recommend other climbs which my experience is suitable for and which will also challenge me. I would not hesitate to recommend Mitja to people looking for a mountain guide in the alps and have already recommended him to a few of my friends.
