Description

It's my pleasure to invite you to climb the Mt Triglav North face. As you may know, it's the highest mountain in Slovenia. It's your opportunity to reach its top in a one-or-two-day guided trip!

The Mt Triglav North face is so famous and important for Slovenian people that they simply call it as "The Wall". And they have their reasons! This face of Mt Triglav is one of the biggest walls in all the Eastern Alps. It is 1000m high.

We can climb the Mt Triglav North face by one of its several ascent routes. There are itineraries for all levels of climbers. Here are some of the options I offer.

  • Slovenian Route (800 m) – Level: easy-intermediate; (you can find more details on this route in the "More Info" box below)

  • German Route (800 m) – Level: intermediate;

  • Long German (1000 m) – Level: intermediate- sustained;

  • Bavarian (800 m) – Level: sustained – hard

  • Skalaška (1000 m) – Level: hard

If you are in an exceptional physical condition (level 5, from 1 to 5) we can reach the top of Mt Triglav and back in only one day. I generally suggest we do it in two days and spend the night in a comfortable mountain hut.

You can also check the climbing program I offer to the top of Mt Triglav by its normal route.

So, if you want to join me for this unique adventure in Mt Triglav North face please contact me! I will be happy to guide you up there!

Mountain Guide

I am a UIAGM mountain guide, ski instructor and sports teacher and the current president of the Slovenian Mountain Guide Association.

I am still the only guide who can make a living working exclusively in Slovenia. I climb Triglav more than 25 times per year, which means I have climbed the most famous peak in my country over 200 times.

If you want to climb or ski in Slovenian mountains I am the right choice. I guide via ferrata, rock climbing, snow climbing, ice climbing, hikes, heliski, freeride skiing and ski touring.

Slovenia has good options for all of these activities, so you are welcome to take a look at my trips and find something for yourself. If you don't find anything let me know and I will see if I can help you!

I speak English. Ich sprache auch ein bischen Deutsch. Parla anche un pocho Italiano e abla tambien un po Espanol.

If I am not available to guide you, one of the super experienced guides in my team - Rok, Peter, Grega or Igor - will be your guide.

A mountain gives you permission to climb. Having Blaz as a guide meant optimum decisions for mountain environment combined with someone who is as committed to your goal as you are. Giving you all you needed technically, emotionally etc and all at the same time you had a great laugh. Top guy & top company!

Good information on the Explore-share website and help finding an available guide. Got in direct touch with guide very fast and were able to get all answers as to verify that this was the right trip for me. Had to change dates by one day due to weather changes, but this is to be expected in mountain regions. Ended up climbing in beautiful weather with very professional, calm and safe guide Igor Kremser. Overall a good experience from finding the trip, all communications and of course the trip itself. Thanks!

I don't properly understand Explore Share's role here. I just wanted to use a small local guiding company and I was forced to do booking through Explore Share. And finally third party, Kofler Sport took care of guiding. Kofler Sport and especially Greg's job was excellent.
