Winter alpine climbing course in Slovenia

It was great to have Tomaz show us the mountains surrounding Ljubljana, he is a great guide. As clients we should have indicated better what we wanted out of the trip in order to make the most of it. Building the level of intensity during the week is important and something you should not underestimate. The winter course was a little difficult to make happen as the conditions were not ideal. All in all a fantastic trip during which we learned lots from Tomaz

Mt Triglav North Face guided climb

Good information on the Explore-share website and help finding an available guide. Got in direct touch with guide very fast and were able to get all answers as to verify that this was the right trip for me. Had to change dates by one day due to weather changes, but this is to be expected in mountain regions. Ended up climbing in beautiful weather with very professional, calm and safe guide Igor Kremser. Overall a good experience from finding the trip, all communications and of course the trip itself. Thanks!

Mt Triglav North Face guided climb

I don't properly understand Explore Share's role here. I just wanted to use a small local guiding company and I was forced to do booking through Explore Share. And finally third party, Kofler Sport took care of guiding. Kofler Sport and especially Greg's job was excellent.

2-day Triglav North Face ascent via Slovenska route

1) The guide : Really nice person, and experimented climber. I always felt safe with him. He had a plan A and a plan B, if the plan A was too hard for me. 2) The trip. First time mixt climbing, and i really enjoyed it. The slovenska route is more funny to climb than going to the summit from the hut ! So i really recommend going with Luka anywhere you want to go, especially because there are so nice mountains in Slovénia

Mt Triglav North Face guided climb

A mountain gives you permission to climb. Having Blaz as a guide meant optimum decisions for mountain environment combined with someone who is as committed to your goal as you are. Giving you all you needed technically, emotionally etc and all at the same time you had a great laugh. Top guy & top company!

Mt. Triglav Guided Ascent, Via Slovenian Route

We had an amazing time. Andrej is such a good guide, he has so much experience, we learnt a lot from him! We also felt completely safe even on those parts of the route which were a bit more difficult. The route itself is great for aspiring climbers. We had no climbing experience and felt it was perfect - you do climb the whole of the North face and there is almost no walking so you definitely get a good taste of alpine climbing but it is not too technical. It took us a long time, longer than expected, and we ended up staying in a mountain hut overnight and walking back the next day. Definitely do it but if you want to go the summit it might be better to book the two day trip as it a very long climb indeed (it took us 15 hours to get to the summit) - but of course totally worth it and the views are spectacular!
