Description

On this 7 day adventure, including an extra day in case of inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances, I would like to guide you to the summit of the amazing Alpamayo peak (5,947m).

Starting in the town of Huaraz (3,100m), we will, after 4 thrilling days, reach the incredible summit of Alpamayo. In between those days, you will get to see and visit several amazing places. You will get to visit the town of Cashapampa. There, you will get to enjoy amazing views of the peaks in the Cordillera Blanca as well as the area’s rich flora. You will get to visit the town of Llamacorral. In Llamacorral, you will get a fantastic view of the Taulliraju  peak (5,830m).

After leaving Llamacorral, the next 2 days will be spent climbing, enjoying and sleeping at the Alpamayo peak’s base camp and high camp. By taking our time going from one to the other, you will get to properly acclimatize. Thus ensuring you don’t suffer from altitude sickness, and enjoy the climbing experience.

Following the summit on day 4, we will then spend 2 days making our way back down the mountain. From the peak’s base we will make our way back to Huaraz. There you can relax, enjoy some delicious local Peruvian food, drink a Pisco Sour and reflect on the amazing climbing adventure you’ve just completed.

Have you ever dreamed of climbing a great South American mountain? Then send me a request, come to Peru, and let me take you to the top of Alpamayo.

Would you like to explore the beautiful high altitude lagoons in the Cordillera Blanca? Then join me on this trip and see the famed Laguna 69, or this trip, where you can see Willcacocha.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
