The only thing better than climbing one amazing peak in the Cordillera Blanca of Peru is climbing two! And on this glorious 9 day expedition, you will get to climb two of the best, Alpamayo (5,947m) and Quitaraju (6,036m).

Starting in the lovely city of Huaraz in the Ancash region, we will make our way through Cashapampa to Llamacorral. From there, we will venture to the Alpamayo base camp. And from there, you will be immersed in a world of great climbing.

We will ascend the mountain carefully and safely. We will stop at the high camp, before reaching the summit the following day. This will give you time to rest and recuperate, as well as give you ample opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking views of the Cordillera Blanca. And from the summit of the mountain, the views only get better, as you are able to see even more of this magnificent Andean range.

After that, we will descend to the high camp, before making our way to the summit of the second mountain on this expedition: Quitaraju. Just like Alpamayo, Quitaraju is a gorgeous peak, and from its magical summit, you will get to see several peaks rising high in the area, as well as some beautiful alpine lakes, including Ichiccocha, Jatuncocha and Quitacocha.

Price details

Along with the guiding fee, the price also includes transportation during the trip, meals, porters where applicable, camping and cooking equipment, group climbing equipment, safety supplies and park entry fees. However, the price does not include hotels and meals in Lima and Huaraz, any flights, and personal clothing and equipment. The price for 8-9 people is US$1400 and for 10 or more US$1200. The prices previously displayed are for private groups. For shared groups, starting at 5 people, the price is US$1800.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice.
