Ama Dablam Mountain expedition

A 30-day program for an unforgettable experience in a really beautiful summit in Nepal.

Ama Dablam is located in the eastern part of the Himalaya in Nepal. In the heart of the Sherpa culture, it is 6856 meters high and is one of the most impressive mountains in the world.

This mountain expedition combines great treks with technical rock, snow and ice climbing. During the program we’ll discover the amazing Sherpa culture and enjoy the breathtaking views of other summits such as Mt. Everest and Makalu.

DAY 1 – 3: Meeting in Kathmandu. During these days, we’ll visit the most important touristic attractions of the city.  We spend the nights at a hotel.

DAY 4: From Kathmandu we take a transfer to the airport. We’ll fly to Lukla. Afterwards, we walk to Phakding (2640m). We spend the night in an Himalayan Chain Resort.

DAY 5 – 8: Trekking days to Namche Bazaar, Khumjung, Gonglha and Tengboche Monastery. We’ll enjoy beautiful panoramic views of Everest, Kangtega, Lhotse and some villages.

DAY 9: We trek to Base Camp at 4600 m.

DAY 10  – 23: This is the period for climbing the Ama Dablam summit. We’ll take the time necessary for acclimatize. Once on the top, we’ll appreciate breathtaking views of other summits, such as the Everest and Makalu.

DAY 24 – 30: We return to Base Camp. The next days we’ll trek back to Khumjung, Phakding, and Lukla. Finally, we fly to Kathmandu from where we take a fly back to home.

Preparation

Due to the variety of terrain and the high difficulty of this climb, participants must have prior experience in multi-pitch climbing and high altitude. Additionally, it’s important to have an excellent physical condition.
