This Avalanche Course in Narvik, Norway, is the best way to remain safe during your adventures. It’s a basic 3-hour course that could prove to be very important for your safety!
This Avalanche Course is an opportunity to learn about avalanche theory. It will also provide good practice. We’ll learn how to use transceivers to look for buried people.
I’ll start by teaching you the different kinds of avalanches: why they happen and how can you avoid risky situations. Also, I’ll explain act when faced with dangerous conditions. In addition, we’ll talk about properly judging avalanche danger and how to move if you’re stuck in one.
After 1,5 hours of theory, I’ll walk you through a professional evaluation of the gear you should absolutely use. Then, we’ll step outside and practice how to use a beacon. Everyone will get the chance to test it personally and search for a receiver. This way you’ll leave the Avalanche Course with the knowledge to judge and act in dangerous situations!
