Description

Throughout the High Tatras of Slovakia, there is an abundance of different parts to explore. And on this trip, I would like to guide you through one of  the more challenging parts, the Baranie Sedlo (2,384m). This amazing mountain saddle rests between the enormous Baranie horns and the Spissky shield. Due to its location, trekking to the Baranie Sedlo is a challenging endeavour. There are definitely some difficult spots during the 1,300 metres of elevation you will experience during the trek. However, I will do my best to my make sure your journey is safe, thrilling and satisfying. But due to the challenging nature of the trip, it is important that participants are in good physical condition. It is also important that you have some previous climbing experience as well.

From the Baranie Sedlo, you will get to enjoy some incredible views of the High Tatras' landscape. Furthermore, in the area, there is also a strong possibility you will get to see some of the diverse wildlife in the area as well. Some animals you may get to see include goat-antelope, the Tatra chamois, and a Eurasian brown bear. There is also the chance you will get to spot a wolf, a fox, and maybe even a lynx!

With so much to see, and the trill of a challenging climb, I know on this trip to the Baranie Sedlo you will have an experience you will never forget. And to be a part of it, all you have to do is send me a request. I look forward to hearing from you.

Would you like to see more of the beautiful High Tatras? If so, you can also join me on a full day hike through the area's 3 mountain lakes, Biele, Trojrohe and Zelene Pleso.

Great trek with a highly qualified and friendly guide. The hike was quite challenging and would have taken us longer to reach the summit then anticipated but despite not making it to the top we had a fabulous experience with great scenery and views. Would recommend booking with Peter, a real pro.

Enjoyed my day with Peter, who went out of his way to make the trip enjoyable and fun. Environment is stunning. If you might be insecure about the via ferrata: no worries. Easy, not very technical. Was happy to have Peter with me though, the track was not very obvious for me as we had to climb through the gorge, over fallen trees. Totally safe, just unexpected. Just bring a fair amount of stamina and you’ll love this track
