Come spend 3 days hiking through the Belintash area of the Rhodopes mountains in Bulgaria with a UIMLA Tour Operator in the Top Guides team.
On this 3 day hiking adventure, we will guide you through some truly precious locations in Bulgaria. We will hike through the Rhodopes mountain range, where we will make our way to several sites that have been revered in the country for many, many years. Those sites include Belintash, Karadzov Kamuk and the Bachkovo monastery, which is the second biggest monastery in the country after the Rila monestary.
Hiking through the lush, green Rhodopes would be an amazing trip all on its own. But when you include sights like Belintash or the Karadzov Kamuk, along with many more, it gets even better.
Belintash is a 300 metre long, stunning rock formation. It was used, long ago, by the Trachian tribes to offer sacrifices to the Gods. The view from this formation is nothing short of incredible. Secondly we will trek through some steep terrain to the Karadzov Kamuk. This rock formation, another holy site of the Trachian tribes, is a real treat to see. Finally, on the last day of the hike, we will make our way to the Bachkovo monastery.
It is also important to note that along with those amazing sites, there are several more you will get to see on this trip. They include the red wall reserve, where you can witness the west wall that glows red in the sunset. There is also the town of Assenovgrad, where the trip will begin. This town is beautiful and is home to the famed Asenova fortress.
Believe it or not, there are even more sights to see on this trip. So if you want to enjoy every single one of them, just send us a request, and let us guide you.
We can also lead you on a 5 day hut to hut hike through the Balkans of Bulgaria.

Assenovgrad, which is about 20 km south of Provdiv, and about 2 hours away from Sofia.

Amazing trip..... 100% recommend this trip... Lyuben was both professional and friendly. We loved it. A great activity to do with a non-skier in tow.
