Description

For 14 days, we would like to lead you on a memorable trek to the beautiful and sacred Bhairav Kunda lake (4,200m). This amazing body of water is more than just a lake to many people. It is a spiritual place, important to Buddhists and Hindus alike. Followers of these religions make a pilgrimage to this lake in order to wash away their sins, an event that takes place in August of every year.

While visiting Bhairav Kundu is the focal point of this trip, it is not the sole purpose. Instead, we have created a thorough and thrilling itinerary that will allow you to explore and see a great deal of the gorgeous region where the lake rests.

After leaving Kathmandu, which you will have a whole day to explore before the trek as well as another full day to explore after the trek, we will venture northeast toward the Tibetan border. This amazing region is a glorious place to trek through because it is as peaceful as it is beautiful. And during this trip, you will have several opportunities to see unrivalled views of Langtang Lirung (7,227m), as well as the Tibetan, Jugal Himal and Rollwalling mountain ranges. You will also get to spend time in different rural villages and sherpa houses as well. Thus giving you the chance to interact with locals of varying ethnic backgrounds.

While this trek is not geared toward hiking experts, there is some challenging spots. We will also be hiking for several hours per day, so participants should be in good physical condition.

This journey to the Bhairav Kunda is not just about visiting the amazing lake, but visiting the amazing region as a whole, a region that is full of gorgeous natural scenery as well as beautiful culture. So come, send us a request and join us for 14 days on this trek. We have no doubt you will have an unforgettable experience.

We also lead this 22 day expedition into Dolpo, yet another mesmerising region of Nepal.
