Calbuco Volcano Hut, Llanquihue National Reserve, Full day trek

Only 50 minutes away from Port Montt, is the access to the Llanquihue National Reserve, where this adventure begins. We’ll make our way through it, until we reach the Calbuco Volcano Hut. From there, we’ll get the most impressive views of the Calbuco Volcano and all everything around it.

Once we enter the Llanquihue National Reserve, we must prepare ourselves to be dazzled. As we’ll trek through the enchanting Alercers woods, brimming not only with this species, but also Coihues, Canelos and other native trees.

Also, we’ll need to keep our eyes wide open. For as we can spot many unique birds and other curious creatures that will accompany us throughout our journey.

After approximately 5 hours, we’ll reach the Calbuco Volcano Hut. And it will be from this spot, that we will get one of the most privileged views of this impressive volcano.

The Calbuco Volcano rises above 2,003 meters, surrounded by mesmerizing forests and valleys. What’s more, we’ll encounter the Llanquihue lagoon, which brings a magic touch to this already majestic paradise.
