May, Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep, Oct, Nov
I invite you to join me on these trail running guided day trips around Chamonix. Apart from running the mountains that surround the Chamonix valley, I can also take you to some other really cool spots in this area, including the Fiz Range, Le Buet, Gran Paradiso in Italy, etc.
These guided day trips will be tailored to your goals. We will take the time to discover this amazing region but we can also focus on preparing for a race (UTMB, Tor des Géants, etc) or work on specific techniques, such as downhill, breath management or recovery management. I can also teach you about mindfulness running, which I’ve specialized on.
I love to take my friends and clients on these trail running guided day trips as it allow me to share my passion for this discipline and the area around my home town. I have received extensive training in techniques related to mindfulness and well-being so I will definitely include it in my lessons. We can even go running during the night which provides a trully unique experience.
These trail running day trips run from May to November. I can take a maximum of 8 people with me to make sure everybody profits from the learning experience.
Come “run the mountain” with me and allow me to share my passion and my knowledge with you. I’m confident you’ll greatly enjoy the experience and leave a better trail runner!

A mountain guide for the last 20 years, I’m also a ski instructor, a mental coach, a trainer and a lecturer. Apart from climbing many summits in France, Switzerland, Italy, Ecuador and Africa, I’m the founder of Eco Mt Blanc (Mt Blanc ascent in less than 24 hours without using lifts and without spending the night in a hut). I’m also a “finisher” of many ultra-trail races, including the Tor Des Géants (330km and 24000 D+) in 132 hours.
For 6 years now, I’ve just been running for pleasure and greatly enjoy preparing runners, both technically and mentally, who seek to get started on long-distance races.

We were taken good care of by James. He met us for drinks when we arrived and told us about the area in Chamonix. We found his way of thinking of trailrunning and his experience so interesting. Unfortunatly he had to take care of his father who was sick, the day we had planned our trip. He arranged that Tony Sbalbi would take us. We had some problems understanding eachother, but he took good care of us. And we had an amazing day doing the trip we had planned with James. We walked up to Plan de I'aiguille, and run to mer de glace, and then down to Chamonix by the forrest. We really loved it! Nature, working hard and adrenalin! We can't wait to go back! Thank you!
