Description

Climb up the Palisade Range and check out some of the most impressive views of the Sierra Nevadas! I can guide you to over 14,000 feet AND the time of your life on Mt. Sill!

Located within the Sierra Nevada range, the group of Palisade mountains are notable for their attractive climbing features. They are often favorites among rock climbers and mountaineers, inviting adventurers to reach rocky heights of over 14,000 feet one a few different peaks.

One of the most popular and majestic of these ¨14ers¨ is Mt. Sill, particularly its Swiss Arete. It officially stands at 14,162 feet, offers some 5.7, Grade II climbing, and includes a bit of Class 3/4 moves. There are some challenging maneuvers near the top that are sure to please the intermediate and advanced alike.

The panoramas from the top are unimaginable. To the east are the White Mountains, and to the west you can see Sequoia and Kings Canyon. To give you an idea of the scope and impression this mountain has, it´s name is Nee-Na-Mee-Shee (¨Guardian of the Valley¨) to the Paiute Indians.

Our program is designed to cover three days because of the long approach to the climb. However, I can adjust this program to fit what you need. Its a great opportunity for anyone looking to cross a classic route off of their bucket list and also gain valuable experience on a moderate mountain.

This trip requires some difficult aspects, so prior climbing experience and physical fitness are necessary. You should be in relatively good shape to enjoy this program.

Book this climbing program now and see arguably the best views of the entire Eastern Sierra from the top of Mt. Sill´s Swiss Arete!

You want to climb the North Ridge of Lone Pine Peak? I have a trip for that! Or we can head to Mission Gorge in San Diego for a more modest day of single-pitch climbing.

Weather changed the event from 3 to 1 day and I was unable to summit in one day. Suggest the trip be delayed instead of trying to get it done in one day.

Patrick took me out to the Indian Cove! Loved the short approach and couldn’t asked for better weather. Patrick recommended great pitches where I could try new stuff like chimneying. Would definitely book again if I go back to JTree!

We had an excellent time with Chad on our multi -pitch day in Joshua Tree. My partner and I have some experience climbing sport routes, but had no experience with trad climbing or multi-pitch routes. Chad is a great instructor and led our routes with ease. We felt confident in his abilities to keep us safe and have fun. Will definitely book again with him.

We booked through Ryan, and Daniel was our guide - absolutely brilliant, very down to earth and knowledgeable. The climbs themselves were awesome, with insane views. My partner is an experienced indoor climber, and I have close to no experience, especially outdoors, but still felt safe and in good hands. We did a half day, which was 5hrs, and got 4 climbs in, then stayed after the tour to walk around a bit more and have some snacks with a view (make sure you take food/water as there aren’t any shops inside the park). Definitely recommend.
