Description

Come along on an incredible mountaineering adventure to conquer Mount Kitadake, the second-highest mountain in Japan.

Rising to an impressive altitude of 3,193 meters (10,475 feet), Mount Kita, or Kitadake, stands as a majestic peak second only to the towering Mount Fuji in height. Together with its neighboring peaks, Mount Ainodake and Mount Notoridake, Mount Kita forms an impressive trio known as the Shiranesanzan group.

With its perpetual snow-capped summit, Kitadake holds the distinction of being the northernmost among the three peaks, showcasing its spectacular beauty throughout the year.

While the Northern Alps may enjoy more popularity, the South Alps, where Kitadake resides, offer a rugged and less-explored terrain. Prepare to be captivated by the untamed beauty and off-the-beaten-path allure on this unforgettable mountain adventure.

Prepare yourself for a challenging yet rewarding six-hour climb, ascending up to an elevation gain of 1,500 meters (4,921 feet). This mountaineering experience will test your endurance and offer stunning panoramic views of the South Alps**. Enjoy a one-night stay at the Kitadake Katano Koya**, where you will be treated to a comfortable accommodation and half board meals. For those looking to extend their adventure, there is an option to add additional days and enjoy a two-night stay at a charming mountain hut.

Book your trip with us and push your limits on this majestic peak and discover the amazing sights that only the Japanese Alps can offer.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
