Description

Enjoy a climbing experience straight out of a painting and follow me up the northeast ridge of Bear Creek Spire! Located in the incredible Sierra Nevadas, I will take you on a tour of California´s unending majesty!

This mountain stands at 13,713 feet, and can be enjoyed for its sporting features, its landscape, and simply its aesthetic beauty. It is set within the John Muir Wilderness and Inyo National Forest, home to some lush pine forests and pristine meadow flora.

This trad climb begins in the heart of the Sierra Nevadas. You will be exposed to the wonder of its nature from the trail to the rock, and it really is a unique program. You will pass Rock Creek Lake, taking in the Little Lakes Valley as we head to along the Mosquito Flats Trail.

The most popular route, and our route for this program, is the northeast ridge. It will offer some dynamic moves to your climb, which will captivate you whether you´re a seasoned veteran or more of a novice.

The northeast ridge of Bear Creek Spire is a low-5, Grade III climb, so while it doesn´t have any extremely difficult features, it does offer you a long climb for you to accustom yourself to alpine terrain. There are definitely moments of exposure, so you will undoubtedly feel a rush of adrenaline as you head to the top!

A seasoned climber or group will be able to complete this in a day, but I recommend a lengthier accommodation so you can really appreciate this magical place. I am very well-versed in the peaks and valleys here, so I can help you make the most out of your program and send you home with an unforgettable experience.

This is a great trip for someone looking to advance their skills as a climber and prepare themselves to reach their larger goals. A certain level of experience and a reasonable level of fitness are necessary to embark on this adventure.

Book NOW and take on Bear Creak Spire in all of its climbing glory! Conquer the northeast ridge on this thrilling trip!

I have a southern California program at Mt. Woodson for a less ambitious day of climbing. And I can also show you the epic Mt. Humphreys on a multi-day climb!

Patrick took me out to the Indian Cove! Loved the short approach and couldn’t asked for better weather. Patrick recommended great pitches where I could try new stuff like chimneying. Would definitely book again if I go back to JTree!

We had an excellent time with Chad on our multi -pitch day in Joshua Tree. My partner and I have some experience climbing sport routes, but had no experience with trad climbing or multi-pitch routes. Chad is a great instructor and led our routes with ease. We felt confident in his abilities to keep us safe and have fun. Will definitely book again with him.

We booked through Ryan, and Daniel was our guide - absolutely brilliant, very down to earth and knowledgeable. The climbs themselves were awesome, with insane views. My partner is an experienced indoor climber, and I have close to no experience, especially outdoors, but still felt safe and in good hands. We did a half day, which was 5hrs, and got 4 climbs in, then stayed after the tour to walk around a bit more and have some snacks with a view (make sure you take food/water as there aren’t any shops inside the park). Definitely recommend.

Our guide, Spencer, was fantastic! He tailored everything to our exact needs, and we now feel equipped to climb outdoors without a guide.
