Description

Climb into the unbelievable Sierra Nevadas and take on Mt. Humphreys! Let me guide you through an inspiring ascent of a classic California mountain that will take your breath away!

Nestled in the John Muir Wilderness and Inyo National Forest, Mt. Humphreys stands 13,986 feet tall. And amazingly enough, the views of the surrounding mountains and landscapes are even more impressive. Dense pine forests, charming lakes, and unique wildlife fill this region with character, and make it a truly meaningful experience.

The east ridge of Humphreys is a 5.4, Grade III, but still packs a punch for the more seasoned alpinist. There are some elements of scrambling and mixed climbing, but the most rewarding feature is a mid-climb razor´s edge catwalk that you will undoubtedly tell your grandchildren about.

If you are a climber seeking a more ambitious program to test your strengths, then this trad climb is right up your alley. I know these mountains extremely well, and I can make sure you are challenged, capable, and always having a great time.

I can finesse the needs of your trip to spend as much or as little time as you would like on the climb. More experienced rock climbers might be able to tackle this program in a day, but we can always take our time so you have more moments on this magnificent mountain.

And I always recommend fortitude and fitness for this trip. You should be in relatively good shape and willing to use any prior climbing experience to help yourself enjoy it.

So stop waiting and start BOOKING this amazing Mt. Humphrey climb and take on one of the gems of the Sierra Nevadas!

If you want another California adventure, I can set you up on a trad climbing date with Lone Pine Peak! Or we can keep it simple and head to Joshua Tree for single-pitch and multi-pitch climbs!

Patrick took me out to the Indian Cove! Loved the short approach and couldn’t asked for better weather. Patrick recommended great pitches where I could try new stuff like chimneying. Would definitely book again if I go back to JTree!

We had an excellent time with Chad on our multi -pitch day in Joshua Tree. My partner and I have some experience climbing sport routes, but had no experience with trad climbing or multi-pitch routes. Chad is a great instructor and led our routes with ease. We felt confident in his abilities to keep us safe and have fun. Will definitely book again with him.

We booked through Ryan, and Daniel was our guide - absolutely brilliant, very down to earth and knowledgeable. The climbs themselves were awesome, with insane views. My partner is an experienced indoor climber, and I have close to no experience, especially outdoors, but still felt safe and in good hands. We did a half day, which was 5hrs, and got 4 climbs in, then stayed after the tour to walk around a bit more and have some snacks with a view (make sure you take food/water as there aren’t any shops inside the park). Definitely recommend.

Our guide, Spencer, was fantastic! He tailored everything to our exact needs, and we now feel equipped to climb outdoors without a guide.
