You can’t miss it when you see it is exactly how you’ll feel after a single glance at the Finger Rock. This amazing 100 foot rock spire is as distinctive as it is impressive. And, on this full day hiking trip, you will get to trek around this incredible, natural tower.
Located in the Santa Catalina Mountains, north of Tucson, the Finger Rock rises in the shape of an index finger from a powerful fist. It’s a powerful sight.
The trail that will lead you toward the Finger Rock is quite steep and strenuous. The path is also poorly marked. Moreover, you will surrounded by Yucca, Saguaro and Prickly Pear cactus. However, due to the arduous nature of the trek, the hike is actually quite peaceful, as not many people do it. But, due to the difficult nature of the trail, it is important that you are in good physical condition.
The views you will get to enjoy during the trek are tremendous. From the Finger Rock saddle, you will get to see Tucson to the south and the Pima Canyon and Catalina to the north. And, if you’re lucky, you may also get to see some of the area’s diverse wildlife as well.

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide. Overall pretty satisfied and thankful!
