Enrico, an IFMGA-UAIGM-certified mountain guide, wants to take on this guided rock climbing experience in the Dolomites on Marmolada's Don Quixote Route!

Description

The Don Quixote is one of the most famous and easiest routes on Marmolada's (3.343 meters) south wall. Located in northeastern Italy, Marmolada is the highest mountain of the Dolomites!

The route is for the most part about IV+ level with some pitches of V/V+ and is about 700 meters long.

Keep in mind that the approach is about 1000 meters and that the climb can be done in one day but all participants must be in great physical shape and must know how to climb fast on the easy parts we will encounter.

If you want to do the Don Quixote Route in two days, we will spend the night in the beautiful Falier hut.

This opportunity is definitely not for beginners. The trip is perfect for advanced rock climbers who wish to learn more. Also, remember that being in great physical shape is mandatory.

If you want to join me on this unique climbing adventure in the Dolomites, request to book this trip!

If you wish to do a less challenging rock climbing route in the beautiful Dolomites, you can also join me on this Dibona Route (Dolomites) guided rock climbing.

Mountain Guide

I started my career as an aerospace engineer, my first passion and then became a full-time IFMGA mountain guide, my second passion, since 2013. Working as a mountain guide gratifies me a lot. I enjoy very much transmitting my knowledge about the mountains and its activities to my friends and clients.

I’m based in the Dolomites where I have climbed most of the mountain surroundings us here, including “Via attraverso il Pesce” in Marmolada and “Captain sky-hook” in Civetta. I also enjoy a lot guiding in the rest of the Alps, ice climbing, ski touring, freeride skiing, rock climbing and mountaineering.

Feel free to contact me if you want to live a great adventure in the Dolomites or anywhere else in the Alps, during the winter or the summer. It will be a great pleasure for me to guide you and allow you to reach your goal. I work with other mountain guides in the Veneto area, such as Filippo, Massimo, and my brother Daniele. If I am unavailable on the date you are interested in coming climbing, skiing, or engaging in other activities with me, I can connect you with one of them.

3 stars Marmolada is due to weatherconditions. Lack of new snow. Enrico found good snow in parts of the glacier. 5 stars to him. Before we went up to the glacier, Enrico took us for a testride offpiste to see if we would be able to ski difficult conditions. Very good.

To be honest we are very disappointed. We signed up for the day of free ride on Marmolada but Enrico wisely said the snow conditions were not conducive for doing that. He offered to do other activities (specifically ski touring) but that is not what we paid for or signed up for, and did not want to do that. Since he offered “alternative activities” it appears we lose 100% of the cost per Explore-Share policy. This is extremely unfair. Enrico seemed like a good guy and probably a very good guide, but I would NOT recommend Explore Share to anyone! Terrible experience for an expensive day.

Geremia was great to have for my first time ice climbing. He went over all the basics and gave me tips on my climbing that really helped out. All of this in a beautiful location! Highly recommended!

Enrico was an incredible guide. He was meticulous and patient throughout our Via Ferrata, accommodating our group who had varied fitness levels. Amazing experience and would highly recommend anyone to participate!
