Sólheimajökull is a spectacular glacier outlet in southern Iceland, located about 140km east of the Icelandic capital Reykjavik. Placed between two volcanoes, Sólheimajökull provides breathtaking glacial vistas and is highly regarded due to its size and easy access.
We guide groups up to 6 people maximum so that we are able to respond to your individual questions and keep an eye on your safety. After an 08:00 start we’ll have a 2 hour drive to Sólheimajökull where we will pass by many beautiful rivers, waterfalls and volcanoes.
Then you’ll have several hours to explore the famous Sólheimajökull glacier, which is technically an outlet because it is part of the greater Mýrdalsjökull Glacier. On the way back to Reykjavik we’ll stop at Skógafoss waterfall for a short while to enjoy its natural beauty.
This trip is open to anyone, we are happy to cater to all levels of fitness  as long as your keen to get out and explore this landscape.
