Description

Join me on this one-day guided Tridentina via ferrata in Corvara, in the western part of the Dolomites!

My invitation is to safely guide you through this 700 m high via ferrata of medium difficulty, built on the Exner tower. Suitable for the intermediate climber, the Tridentina via ferrata has some of the most beautiful scenery in the Dolomites.

After we park our car at the Gardena Pass, we will direct ourselves to the start of the Tridentina via ferrata. Our adventure will start with an easy climb until we reach the bottom of the Exner Tower. From that point on, we will encounter the more challenging part of the route.

The end of this via ferrata is at the top of the Exner Tower. Once we get there we will go through a rope bridge in order to get to the other side: the Sella Group! At the end of our adventure, participants will have the choice to either rest at the Pisciadú Hut or go back to the car trough the Setus Valley.

Mountain Guide

I started my career as an aerospace engineer, my first passion and then became a full-time IFMGA mountain guide, my second passion, since 2013. Working as a mountain guide gratifies me a lot. I enjoy very much transmitting my knowledge about the mountains and its activities to my friends and clients.

I’m based in the Dolomites where I have climbed most of the mountain surroundings us here, including “Via attraverso il Pesce” in Marmolada and “Captain sky-hook” in Civetta. I also enjoy a lot guiding in the rest of the Alps, ice climbing, ski touring, freeride skiing, rock climbing and mountaineering.

3 stars Marmolada is due to weatherconditions. Lack of new snow. Enrico found good snow in parts of the glacier. 5 stars to him. Before we went up to the glacier, Enrico took us for a testride offpiste to see if we would be able to ski difficult conditions. Very good.

To be honest we are very disappointed. We signed up for the day of free ride on Marmolada but Enrico wisely said the snow conditions were not conducive for doing that. He offered to do other activities (specifically ski touring) but that is not what we paid for or signed up for, and did not want to do that. Since he offered “alternative activities” it appears we lose 100% of the cost per Explore-Share policy. This is extremely unfair. Enrico seemed like a good guy and probably a very good guide, but I would NOT recommend Explore Share to anyone! Terrible experience for an expensive day.
