Description
Make your way to the northern end of Martinique and enjoy a nature-filled canyoning program in the Fond Lottiere to Grand’Riviere! This guided program on a gorgeous Caribbean island lets you swim, abseil, and jump along a river course, combining the uncompromised beauty of mountainous terrain, lush rain forest, mesmerizing wildlife, and non-stop action!
The French island of Martinique, set in the tropical paradise of the Caribbean, is filled with natural marvels. From volcanoes covered in rain forest to savannah vegetation alongside black and white sand beaches, this location has something for everyone.
Some of its most intriguing features are its river beds and gorges, carved by meandering rivers. At the north end of the island, in the shadow of Mont Pelee (1,397m), the Fond Lottiere makes its way to the end of Martinique. This is our chance to follow the ebbs and flows of this winding wonder, making the long journey through the canyons to the village of Grand’Riviere.
The course itself is surrounded by incredible forests, iconic features of North Martinique. The active volcanoes and their vegetation are also spectacular sights to admire as we go. The canyons themselves will have seven rappels, varying in length from eight to 20 meters. The descent includes refreshing swims in the pleasant pools of water.
With the lush and vivid greenery all around us, we will spend a large portion of the day making our way down through the canyons of the Fond Lottiere. The area capitalizes on the remote nature of the region, which will give you a personal experience blazing your own trail in the delightful river and its many water pools.
With a revitalizing waterway as our channel of transportation, you will travel comfortably over the course of the day. All of the equipment, like helmets, harnesses, and wet suits, are provided by us, so you can spend your time enjoying the scenery. The course is long and covers multiple hours, making at least a moderate fitness level is necessary.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge.
