Description

Situated in the stunning scenery of Montana’s Rocky Mountains, just 15 minutes outside of Kalispell, the Kila Crags offer plenty of incredible rock climbing opportunities.

Due to its location and the nature of the climbing, this place is the perfect spot for a half-day adventure. After meeting up in the morning at a pre-determined location, we will  make the short drive out to the area and begin climbing.

The Kila Crags are great for early and late season climbs due to their orientation. The south facing shale cliffs attract sunlight and warm up quite nicely, making the route incredibly pleasant, even with cooler autumn and spring temperatures.

Boasting plenty of diverse options, this half-day trip is also perfect for climbers of every level.

For beginners, we will go over climbing and safety tips, such as how to tie the belay knots and set the grigri. We’ll get you up onto the rocks and to the top of some modest ascents.

For more advanced climbers, we can simply select a few routes and head out up them together.

Regardless of what we climb, one thing is constant; the scenery is incredible and the views are breathtaking.

So what are you waiting for? Book now for this incredibly fun and scenic half-day rock climbing experience on the Kila Crags, just outside of Kalispell, Montana.

Brandon was the guide working for Link, who is the owner of Rock Climb Montana. The kids had an amazing experience. Brandon was very patient with them. We would definitely want to do this again.
