What are the amenities at Echo Bay Lodge?
Guests at the Echo Bay Lodge will enjoy views of Mt. Begbie, Mt. MacPherson, Mt. Cartier and Mt. MacKenzie along with the Columbia River Valley. Floor to ceiling windows allow you to take it the scenery from the comfort of your living room. Spacious covered decks on the west & south sides of the great room provide extensive outdoor areas, while an uncovered east deck is the perfect place to enjoy our roomy, jetted hot tub.
Where is the lodge?
Echo Bay Lodge at Solitude Point is a private, gated estate situated on 10 acres overlooking the Columbia River Valley, just 8 miles south of Revelstoke, BC. Built in 2003, Echo Bay Lodge was hand crafted with native materials such as cedar siding, standing-dead fir timbers, slate, limestone, and 100-year-old fir floors.
How to reach the lodge?
It is no mistake that our lodge location is a quick flight to the Gold Range of the Monashee Mountains. The aesthetic granite peaks and spires tower above the valleys and the salmon-bearing Shushwap River watershed below. This terrain boasts the longest vertical descents in all of our tenure, with an average of 3,000-4,000 foot runs.
How are the Monashees mountains?
Thanks to the mountains, the Pacific Ocean and the jet stream, the Monashees are one of the premier places to enjoy Heliskiing and boarding. In wintertime, massive storms brew in the Pacific Ocean and by the time they make their way over to the Monashees, they deliver the consistent, super-dry crystalline snow that has made our area famous.
With our combination of heli-accessible, wide-open bowls, chutes, treed slopes, and high alpine, The Eagle Pass is the ideal environment for your ultimate Heliskiing adventure.
Is it possible to ski across the Trees in Revelstoke area?
The Monashee Range is famous for its tree skiing. Here at Eagle Pass Heliskiing we have discovered huge slopes of naturally well-spaced trees that are perfect for Heliskiing and Heliboarding.
Gliding through continuous openings between 120-foot tall spruce and alpine firs or through massive 800 year-old cedars is a magical experience that stays with you for a lifetime.
What is the philosophy at Eagle Pass Heliskiing?
Since day one, the philosophy at Eagle Pass Heliskiing has been to strive to provide the ultimate Heliskiing experience with total attention to detail, and an unpretentious friendly atmosphere. Small group Heliskiing is at the core of this philosophy and is a key part of what we offer our guests.
Small groups are an essential part of our philosophy as they magnify your wilderness experience in the mountains. This also provides your guide with added flexibility in choosing interesting and varied ski terrain. Furthermore, using the small A-Star helicopter gives the pilot greater flexibility in the choice of landings and pick-ups.
