Type of Trip
Join me in this memorable 1-day hike to the Mount Pizzocolo (1581 m), the most beautiful peak of Lake Garda. It sits in the southern section of the west Garda lakeside. Indeed, it’s one of the best places in the area for a good hike.
This mount is part of the Garda Pre-Alps range. In the local dialect, Mount Pizzocolo is known as Pisocol, Gu or Serà.
Come and explore one of the most spectacular and beautiful spots of the Pre-Alps, around Brescia. In fact, this isolated peak offers impressive views. Not only will we enjoy the stunning panorama of Lake Garda, but also of the Apennines, the Adamello group, Mount Baldo and the Brenta Dolomites, Monte Rosa and the Venetian Lagoon. Indeed, it’s an impressive list!
This hike is at the Gardone riviera in Lake Garda. During the day, we will hike 4:30 hours, ascending 700 m in total. We can also do it in the evening!
The highlights of this trip are:
– The great views over Lake Garda, it looks like a Norwegian fjord from the summit of Mount Pizzocolo
– A low altitude hiking (summit at 1500 m) that seems like high mountain environment.
You need to be a hiker with good training to join me in this adventure. And if you are looking for an all levels, family friendly hike in the area, check out this Hike and tasting at sunset at Lake Garda.

About the Guide
I was born in the flat Po valley, but I have always loved the mountains and wide open spaces; my dreams come true in 2004, when I became a mountain leader.
Then in 2010 I became International Mountain Leader.
Now my job is in a Trekking company called "MilleMonti".
In all of my travels, I try to be true to the original spirit of curiosity and amazement that I've always felt when I am in the mountains and with this enthusiasm I lead the customers who travel with me.
I live in Italy, in Brescia, in the region of the great Italian lakes (Lake Garda, Lake Iseo, Lake Como). I like to make people discover this wonderful area, but also the most extraordinary places we could find in my homeland.
My destinations are Alps and Dolomites, as well as Italian islands, the Cinque Terre, the Gran Sasso and the National Park of Abruzzo.
If you meet me in the mountains, you can call me "Mammut".
