Join me in a great 1-day easy hike to Cerro La Campana (1900m), in the beautiful La Campana National Park in Chile! Come and enjoy a spectacular view of the Andes, including Mount Aconcagua.

I’ll guide you in a hike through an area that was declared World Biosphere Reserve. You’ll see there the last remaining Chilean palm forests. Charles Darwin, the famous English naturalist, visited it in 1834. It’s a “unique place in this part of the world”, he said.

First, we’ll go up walking on the humid Pacific side of the peak. We’ll hike through a beautiful sclerophyllous forest. Then, from the top, we’ll enjoy a stunning view of the Pacific Ocean and of the Central Andes. Most important, we’ll see Mount Aconcagua (6962 m), the highest mountain in America. Also, it’s the highest outside the Himalayas.

Later, on our way back from Cerro La Campana, we’ll descend along its drier face. We’ll come across lots of Quisco cactus along the way. Finally, we’ll reach the native palm forest.

So contact me if you’re interested in this trek to Cerro La Campana. I’ll be happy to answer your questions! Come and discover a very special place in Chile. I also offer a fantastic 11-day hiking program in the Araucania volcanoes. Check it out!
