Hiking in the Pirin mountains, Bansko

The Pirin range contains probably one the most beautiful mountains in Bulgaria.

I invite you to join me for a beautiful 3-day hike:

Day 1
Early start from Sofia – transfer to Bansko (about 2,5 hours) – Trekking to Muratov peak (2669m). On the way up, we will pass by several mountain lakes. The hike will last for 3 hours (800 m) – Transfer to Bansko (15km). Overnight in a family hotel.

Day 2
Breakfast. Transfer to Dobrinishte (15 km). Trekking for 2 hours to Polejan peak (2851m). Transfer to Bansko and overnight in a family hotel.

Day 3
Breakfast. Transfer to Vihren hut (15 km). Trekking to Vihren peak (2914m) – the highest peak in Pirin mountains – about 3 hours up and 1000m. Transfer to Sofia

For the spare time we have, I strongly suggest to visit Bansko. There are very nice old traditional Bulgarian houses, an old church, museums, etc.

Not included in the price

I didn’t include lunch and dinner in the price, because we can be more flexible and decide where to eat on the spot. The price per day for dinner and lunch can be about 15 euro per day per person. The lift ticket is 9 euro per person (here we need it just once).
