Join me and discover two famous mountain huts, on this scenic 1-day hiking traverse, from the Chabod to the Vittorio Emanuele Hut. Both refuges are located within the Gran Paradiso National Park, in the Aosta Valley.

From the Chabod hut, we hike down a few minutes to the bridge crossing the creek that takes us to the left. From that point, we continue with some ups and downs until we get to another bridge. It’s located on the stream that comes from the Laveciau glacier. We enjoy a striking view on the  north-western wall of the Gran Paradiso (4061 m)!

Then, we head to a detritic basin under the head of Moncorvè. We continue through narrow bends to a large stone. From here, we can admire all the spectacular beauty of the Valsavarenche.

Our hike goes on and now we get to see the other side of Moncorvé. Now we enjoy the view of the impressive Ciarforon, Monciair and the Seiva Valley. From this point, we are able to see the Vittorio Emanuele Hut. We  finally reach the refuge after climbing wide grassy slopes. The hike will take us in total 4 hours: 2.30 plus 1.30.

So, send me a request and join me on this fantastic hiking traverse! We will enjoy a great day out in the mountains in the Aosta Valley!
