I moved to El Calafate in 2001 and very soon I started practicing mountain activities, including rock climbing, skiing, hiking and trekking. In 2007, I began to work in the mountains as an assistant guide in Perito Moreno.
I finished my trekking guide course in 2011 and then, in 2015, I completed the following course to become a Mountain Guide.
I manage Zetatrek, a guiding company offering hiking and trekking trips in El Chaltén and Los Glaciares National Park. I work together with a group of guides, so if I'm not available to guide you, one of my colleagues will do it. All the guides in the team are professionally certified, and hold the required permits to guide.
The experience and the guide Juan were excellent. During our trip he told us Many stories about the land and the culture of Angentinian people and It was super. A really professional guy. Unfortunately the wheater wasn’t the best and we were not able to see the Laguna de los Tres but the experience was beautiful.
Juan and the guide he assigned to hike with us, Rodrigo, were fantastic. Rodrigo was patient, knowledgeable, and a total blast to hike with. The hike itself was one of the toughest but most unforgettable experiences of our lives. Would absolutely recommend.
The hike was a wonderful, unforgettable experience! Juan and Matias provided great insights regarding the trail, region and town. Highly recommend!
Juan is an excellent guide who genuinely cared for the clients ! He came with a huge backpack full of emergency equipment! He has in-depth knowledge of Patagonia and is truely passionate about sharing it with tourists. Highly recommend !
