Description

Do you want to learn the basics or improve your rock climbing skills? Then join me! Let’s go to the Adel Climbing Gym, in northern Italy, for a special indoor course for beginners.

The Dolomite Mountains are famous for their mountaineering, skiing and outdoor climbing options. However, in this region, we can also find modern and well-equipped gyms where you can practice rock climbing regardless of the weather.

The Adel Climbing Gym is located in Campitello di Fassa, next to the Col Rodella lift station. Its name is a tribute to four rescuers who died in an avalanche at Val Lasties, in 2009: Alessandro Dantone, Diego Perathoner, Erwin Riz and Luca Prinoth.

With brand new and innovative structures, this spot offers amazing opportunities for indoor climbing and bouldering. On this course we will work on equipment usage, security advice and technical movements! This course is suitable for anyone: you don’t need previous rock climbing experience.

So, if you want to practice rock climbing in a safe manner, please get in touch with me. Let’s discover the thrilling walls of the Adel Climbing Gym, in Campitello di Fassa, Italy!

Mountain Guide

Hi! I'm Renato, IFMGA guide from the Dolomites, and I work together with my colleagues Robert, Patrick & Walter (German speaking), Paolo, Matteo, Davide, Giorgia and Luca.

If I'm not available to guide you, one of them will take care of you.

I was born in 1961, I live in Campitello di Fassa, in the Dolomites, together with my family. I have two sons, one is a mountain guide, the other is a ski instructor. I am a certified mountain guide since 1982, an instructor of guides, alpine ski instructor and a Federal coach for ISEF.

Being in the mountains has always been my passion, guiding people, teaching them climbing, mountaineering... during the various seasons of the year. I very much enjoy drawing nice curves in fresh powder snow and discover the charm of the frozen waterfalls.

My curriculum and professional mountaineering is made of many ascents and some openings of routes in the Dolomites and the Alps. I climbed in Yosemite Valley (California), Ben Nevis (Scotland) and Norway, Greece, Spain and Sardinia. I did also several high altitude climbs like Mt Denali (Alaska), Ama Dablam (6828m), Cho Oyu (8201m), Manaslu (8163m), Shivling in India (6545m), Cotopaxi and Chimborazo in Ecuador (5897m and 6310m), Patagonia (Argentina).

Feel free to get in touch with me if you are coming in the Dolomites for skiing (alpine, freeride and ski touring), rock climbing, sport climbing and multi pitch climbing. It will be my pleasure to guide you here and let you discover my secret spots.

What people are saying about Renato & Guides' team

Adam

My daughter and I booked RENATO for five days, and it was absolutely sensational. I would recommend him to anyone.

We were very lucky to get Patrick Carminati to be our guide as we were very happy with his services.  He was very kind and patient to explain the steps and prepared us very well for the ice climbing course. We felt very safe throughout the journey and very well taken care of. He was also very knowledgeable and experienced as he taught us the skills for ice climbing. We also appreciate the transparency from his side with the sub-optimal conditions with the thick snow covering the waterfalls and are grateful that he proceeded with the course anyway. It was an overall very good experience and I’d highly recommend to anyone out there.
