Kukova Spica, Slovenia, Guided Rock Climbing

There are many fantastic options for rock climbing in the Julian Alps, and the Kukova Spica (2,427m) is definitely one of the best. This wonderful peak has a great selection of thrilling rock walls that you can scale.

Along with the great rock climbing opportunities, there is also quite a bit of exploring to be done around the Kukova Spica. As a result, this day long trip will allow you to see a tremendous amount of the beauty found within the Julian Alps. There are glorious forests spread out as far as the eye can see and a variety of stupendous peaks to behold, and the views will only get better the higher you go!

The trip will begin in the Dolina valley (900m). From the valley we will make our way along a hunting trail between Veliki and Mali Crlovec for approximately 3 hours to the first ridge tower. At that point you will get to climb the walls of Kukova Spica for several hours. Afterwards,  we will venture across Gulets to Vrate, which will take approximately 3 hours. Hence making this trip a fun, full day affair.

The level of the rock climbing during this trip is between 3 and 4, so there will be some challenging areas. As a result, participants should be in good physical condition. Also, some prior rock climbing experience would be a plus.
