Description

If you are coming to Madeira and are looking for a nice hiking trip in the island, you can’t miss this chance to explore Lagos da Madeira. Enjoy hiking in an idyllic natural area and discover wonderful spots and views on this 1-day program on the west side of the island.

First, we’ll begin our hike in Rabaçal. There, we’ll get to see part of the local flora and fauna as well as the stunning surroundings. Afterwards, we’ll follow the trail that goes along the Levada do Alecrim. This path will lead us across the woods to the gorgeous Lagos da Madeira, where we’ll contemplate spectacular waterfalls and small pools. Finally, we’ll return to Rabaçal and end our trip.

As for the difficulty, this hike is not demanding and doesn’t require any prior experience. However, consider that we’ll cover a distance of around 10 kilometers and spend 3-5 hours hiking.
